Nope, that would be a guy I work with. He's names Travis. That cars mostly show, he bought it all done up. It used to be a show car. He's now in the process of taking out some of the show, and replacing it with more go.

I dunno how well that'll work. Most shops won't do full body paint over the winter months simply because of the temp. If the paint/clear doesn't have enough time to cure properly in a warm temp you'll end up with shitty paint by spring time.

I know my Dad won't paint any full body work at his shop after the middle/end of October usually.

I went to school with Travis, he use to have a RSX base.

JP, if you've already got a muffler, go to a few exhaust places and get some quotes for some piping and install. You could probally get a catback for $200 if you've already got the muffler!

Nice, i didn't think you had 2.5" piping, just add axle-back, shouldn't hurt the wallet too much.

How is Shaw? what's a typical job description, pay etc. i see they've got a job fair on Thursday, i'm thinking of going to check it out. I'm getting like 6-10 hrs a week at the MLCC. I definatly need more mod money!

Depends on what you're looking for.
I'm pretty sure we have Full Time and Part Time positions in Tech Support right now. Full Time is salaried at $30,250 a year to start. I think.
The pay is super good.

Job description: Tech Support for Internet and TV. Answer calls from customers having issues with their ****. Depending on the time of year, could be constant calls all day, or like right now for the last 2 months it's been pretty steady 2-10 minutes dead time between calls for frontline.

Job really depends on if you can handle being on a phone talking to people who generally don't have the ability to whipe their own ass without complaing about it.... Though, it's really not the bad. The work environment is lax, as long as you aren't a douche and are there to work.

I'll be honest. I've been there for 2 years. I'm a senior level tech who gives support to the frontline guys. I love my job. I love the company. I don't think there is a better place to work in the city, in terms of how the employer treats their employees anyway.

Chat with the people around you.. surf the net.. watch TV..
The call center is quite nice inside. You don't get a cubicle.. you sit in a "pod" of 5-8 people. So you've always got people around you.

There are TVs around the floor that you can watch movies on, TV programs and stuff. As long as it's not destracting you while on a call you can watch pretty much whatever (except **** obviously). If you start to pay more attention to the TV then the call you're on, expect a Sup or Tier 2 (like me) to change the channel though

As for internet.. you can browse almost anything as long as you arent' on a call. You aren't suposed to be on the net while on a call, unless it's to troubleshoot. Also, you aren't allowed to log into forums, which is why I don't post while at work.

As for chatting.. same deal as TV/Internet, if you're not on a call, it's free game. The idea is as long as the calls are your priority, they're pretty relaxed on what you can do.

The hours when you start are primarily evenings... the most common new-hire shift is 2-10:30. Days of the weeks will vary from week to week.

Yup, but it's pretty hard to get into. Only 3 guys on it and they aren't leaving. That's overnight. There are "night" shifts though of 3:30 to midnight that are always open lol.

Matt: Turns out I have to work this Saturday, but I think I have the next T&T off :-)

There are overnight shifts available. The problem is when the overnights there are no senior support around overnight. They pretty much only take people who have been with the company long enough to be able to stand on their own two feet without any other support.

You'd be suprised how often a new hire calls into my group for help on things. For the first month or two it's almost every since call they take in a day. Since my senior support group doesn't work overnights, they only let the people who don't need us work those shifts.

Hey Ryan, so you guys have overnights downstairs too?

And yes, yes I do suck for working that night. At first I didn't, but I had to change shift rotations or quit, so I chose to change rotations.

So its more up for grabs for JP. And the little south africian friend is my neighbor as well, they are brother and sisters actually. They came from East Africa (from what I remember he told me) and moved here last summer.

so Meh, I don't mind having him cruise around once in awhile, get him to experience our culture, hes pretty cool for being 14, plays guitar and electric pretty damn good, going to get him to teach me if possible ^_^

So its more of his sister tagging along this time on Sat, so... meh, something for JP to drool over

oh, and andrew, why not just show up and watch?? don't race, so no need to spend lots of money, or car pool there with JP or something, its only fun when there is lots of ppl, dont make me sad
