I gonna be using them for my winter tires, instead of switching rubbers on the stocks it better to have each on a set of rims.

Understandable. I just passed up on a set of SSR wheels and tires for 600 bucks. Really missed out on a killer deal.

Welcome!

I hear that. I did that for a year (since there was No rim fitment info in 08) but as soon as I found a deal on some ss sc rims I jumped all over it.

umm;

SSR = Independant suspension-RWD (uses GM's concentional RWD bolt pattern)

(I call it an overpriced corvette, because at the time the Corvette was the only other RWD GM vehicle with IRS)

HHR = McPherson Strut FWD (uses GM's assenine new SAAB based FWD bolt pattern)

You can also use some HHR 17" rims, as well as CSS-2.4L 17" rims without spacers (but I'd suggest them anyway);
To the best of my knowledge the G5-GT 17" rims need spacers to clear the brembos...
