You know how you notice cars more once you own the same type?

Well after purchasing my Cobalt, it has seemed to me as though ther are just more Cobalt SS's in Winnipeg than Calgary...

on a related not, does anyone know if the 'western Canadian Cobalts' group died after last years' (flop-of-a) meet?

Maybe because half of western canada (I.E ALBERTA SASK AND MANITOBA) boycotted it because some jag off wanted it in vancouver, the farthest point away from anyone.

It would be like me hosting it say "come to winnipeg"

You think anyone from Vancouver would go?

So the sask/alberta/manitoba people said saskatoon. It was a g reat idea, But the little B.C crowed bitched and cried. So its cancled.

I would have liked to do one this year. i guess times kind of ran out.

I noticed a little while ago that their domain is no longer registered or anything...

sask deltas is still up if i recall.

I think if we were to arrange a meet manitoba would be a poor spot.

I went out west to saskatoon and met up with those guys. Great group. Id love to do that again.

If a few are down for a trip next summer i will gladly organize something over winter.

sask deltas merged with his other sites and became western deltas;
I made a thread talking about wanting to create a local club (on facebook called 'GM Tuners of Calgary'), and find a place online to meet ~ at hte time I suggested their site could be the converging point;
Then the crap hit the fan, a former mod pulled out the dick-head card and really pissed me off...
and it kept going...
then once they realized they were in the wrong (because they accused me of attempting to "poach" from their membership) I asked that the 'tangent' posts be removed, to which they replied some thing to the effect of "we don't do that here";
that was it for me and that site;
At the time (iirc) the WD site wasn't even two months old, and had less than 50 members (99% of which were from the merging of the two older sites, and not active members)...
I won't go there any more.
For all I care they can take their little corner of the internet and shove it up their collective asses.

Generally I'm a pretty even keel kinda guy, but that fiasco really got under my skin, and the last bit was the tipping point ~ the attitude was that of they were king-crap, and I was insignificant.

The guy here who posts here under the name 'saskdeltas' seemed like a cool enough guy (iirc he was financially backing behind the site);
Last fall Steve, Kass, and myself met up with him when he had a stop over in town...
Last I heard he sold his Ion Redline though...

Hey Jon you should change your user name from Soundjunky to Wordjunky Holy crap! LOL JK. It's amazing how through a keyboard people become ****** and dicks so much faster then in person.

what they screwed you alignment? ~ any good shop would mark everything, then check it once it's all together...

Yup, I can type
IIRC that saskdeltas guy wasn't apart of the problem on the site... but yeah ~ I think it mostly stems from people feeling "in charge" and it going to their head!

You should always get an alignment done after dropping the subframe

don't get me wrong, I don't disagree, but if done with ample due care and attention, the alignment should be nutz on afterwards...

Never going to be where it was. No matter what bolts you are marking.
