Balts took a huge **** kicking in price value when the cruze came out. Is your car worth 17-19? Yes. Are you going to get that come next year? Probably not unfortunately.
I do agree some people are crazy.

Two years ago i saw a SS/SC (thecaptians) 06 with decent mileage go for 19,000

Anything possible.

In the world of sales, What somethings "worth" is how much someone will pay for it.

SS/SC cobalts are still selling for 13-15,000 here on Kijiji, Which blows my mind. lol.

No they are asking 13-15. I highly doubt most are getting that haha. Look at pierres car. 09 ss/tc with like 35k on it. He had that thing up for sale for over a year and ended up letting it go for $14,500. But like you said, anything is possible. As long as time isn't a factor.

Thats exactly it. Ill put it up for 19 and expect 17.5-18.5 over the summer.

Ill put new tires on, powdercoat the rims. FIX IT UP. and have my good friend jeff make the trunk filled in.

With all the mods and such, 30 MPG with 300+ WHP. Some 18 year old kid with dads money will jump at it.

Hopefully anyways.

Or i keep driving it and oh well slap a big turbo on it so it hides the pain of me driving a Cobalt :P

Do this!!!!!!! There's nothing wrong with driving a Cobalt. But if you are going to ditch your Cobalt for anything atleast make it a V8 lol. Your car in it's prime is one sexy unit.

umm, what's your mileage?

there are minty SS/TC's here sitting unsold for less than that;
in order ot get that kind of money for a (then) 3.5~4 year old car, it's going to have to have ultra low mileage, and be beyond mint...

BTW, you probably don't want to know what I paid for mine in February 2010...

No! ~ if you do that, then how will I seem unique

imagine this;
arrange meeting up with Vince for one of his dyno days, with everything figured out, and the EFR in tow (maybe only bolted on the day before the dyno)...
then again, I do have a tendency to drive my car a little...

Hey blue

You were going to do your clutch right? I have a new Fidanza flywheel that I'm looking to sell if you want to do that at the same time. $275 shipped.

Ya I gotta swap my clutch. It's not shot but won't hold launches anymore. I'm going to do it in the spring using a buddy's hoist. Should make it much easier. I still do need a flywheel but not sure of I want to drop that kind of coin on a fancy one haha.

no, no, no... we're all canadian ~ that's KM's

I just used common lingo ~ as Inormally do;
plus I think that asking "how many kilometers your car is at" is wayy too long winded when you can just ask for "mileage"

see, I missed his use of the word "miles" ~ maybe this comes from driving cars that all display Miles, but using KM info;

unless otherwise noted the term imile isn't literal for me... maybe I messed up by initially asking for "mileage"?

5:00 A.M. and can't sleep worth a **** so I begin trolling some forums. Well, CobaltSS.net chat link just brings me back to the homepage. Couple of drinks deep, I was hoping to waste time in chat. Lol.

Meh.

Is the Cobalt SS/SC burnt orange the same as that on a same age Corvette? Way too lazy and lacking sleep to google that.

Care to clue a 'Winnipeg tread lurker' in?

There's one local who's having some fun with his car ~ but you might have surpassed him...
There's another guy (not local, but occasionally meets up with the locals) who recently installed a TVS...
There's not one local tinkering on an LE5 car... (well, there's one guy just north of town who did this cool build... but he never comes out)
There's not one local tinkering on an LNF car... (well at least not for now )

In this past year there have been a couple write-off's (both local and not), and sales;
but for the most part, this scene seems to be dying out a bit.
I'm hoping to see a bit of a resurgence;
so until then I like to know what's happening on other locals...

especially my own beloved winter-peg
(never heard of weiner-peg ~ makes me think gagging while on one of my many drives by the maple leaf plant on Lagimodiere...)
