Manitoba SS's 2011 Thread!
Still around and kickin woody haha. I've been spending my time researching doing this clutch swap myself. Kevin wants to change my clutch swap into a business proposition so I'm gonna do it myself. Doesn't look too bad. Just lots of little steps. I'm gonna have some spare cash floating around soon so if I can find a decient deal I'm gonna pick up a tvs over the winter
. So everyone keep your eyes peeled haha.
What do you guys think of Volvo S60 R?
Lol well right now I'm pushing my heaton right to the max. I figure I'd might as well get something that's gonna be way more efficient. I'm not gonna pulley down the hell out it (yet), make more power with more efficiency. I like those volvos! Would be a fun winter car haha

IMO TVS is the way to go with the LSJ unless you plan to make your car 400+ WHP.
TVS is good for a solid 350, with a sexy curve
Biggest thing is tuning.
Also i've seen them go for cheap on here. 1200 bucks. Id say you could get everything you need including 80's for under 2000 bucks.
From the research I've done I can still use my 60s. Most guys on 80s are needing it due to being on E. Perhaps down the road when I bolt a 2.5" pulley on it I'll need to upgrade to 80s. But for now I'll just run like a 2.9". Then once I can get a winter beater I'll go big haha

yeah 60s are fine.

good for you on wanting to attempt it yourself, the shitty side of it is when your all done and if there is a problem it needs to be all ripped apart again....not just a matter of a simple adjustment.tranny off and clutch back out and the car not drivable so then it needs to be towed to wherever is fixing it...i know he has done his a couple of times now and knows how to do it.his price cant possibly be any worse then mine working at the stealership lol
42s on a 2.6" pulley? Can you say boom? Lol
Well I'm a small engine mechanic by trade so if I can rebuild motorcycle engines and transmissions I'm sure I can tackle this project. Just take my time and follow the steps. It would be nice for him to do it while I help but so I know how but the guy isn't just my tuner, he's a good friend but not when it comes down for help lol. I don't mind paying him for his time but not $100+ an hour

Well I figure this probably won't be the last time I pull my tranny out so I'd might as well learn haha. Kevin wants $500 to change my clutch with my help and he said he can do it in 4 hours. Just can't swallow $125 an hour lol
specially since a shop would charge the same.
Test it for real with a gOod clutch this year! Then next your start firing with a tvs. Iw would be a good comparison!!
A Volvo. Wow that's a change up lol.
You thinking of trading In the balt for one?
I hate volvo but as far as that one goes looks alright but has some nice all season capability and a plush interior.
