Yep between the hard starts, big time smell of gas when it does start, hesitation and the knock he is thinking fuel issues now. So a fuel pressure tester can tell me if my regulator is going kaput, if my fuel pump is going kaput, or if my injectors are leaking. So I wanna get my hands on one that fits the schrader valve on the rail fuel line. But as it will most likely be a one time thing I don't want to spen $60 on one, but I want one quick as winter is approaching and tuning weather is slipping away.
Jon they are bugging me because of the issues my car has, they say I need the bible and to find jesus to fix it.

So my brother is rough on his cars. This weekend his clutched failed on the highway. So he go it towed to a shop of a friend of ours and he fixed it and saw his tires the front tires were bald to the cord, and the rears were cracked sidewall to sidewall. $2000.00 later I gotta give him a slap on the head and teach him to take it easy on his cars. BTW its an 06 HHR LT with the 2.2L
Here is the thing, timing is less the stock, air fuel is 11.. Yet richer then I want right now it still doesn't make the kr your getting. I can lower timing from 22* where you were before and you got 5* so I removed 6* and you still get same amount. So I lowered to 13* and you still get knock. So timing isn't the issue and engine shows to be healthy.
What's left is fuel or a ECM ...... Unless his car is picking up vibrations from mounts or somthing.

I will check the fuel as soon as I can get my hands on a fuel test gauge after that I will start checking everything again for any looseness ugh!
Oh **** happy birthday buddy!

Thanks man haha. The biggest thing that's weird is the amount of knock you get inbetween normal shifts. Insane amounts. That's what also has me thinking it's false knock.
Okay so :
1. High knock in between shifts.
2. High knock in 3rd and over 5800 RPM all the way to redline.
3. Pulling timing does not help.
4. No actual knocking heard.
Thoughts?
