I will take pics tomorrow in the light and send them to you send me an email address. And you can determine your self how bad. Not sure howmuch i want as thi just became an idea tonight. I will research it
I run sc rims for the winter as well. You will need a 5mm spacer just so you know.
Ya Jordan I'm naive about that i was seriously thinking I could get $1000. ****! I know I wont get a **** load of cash for them.
sold it and got back into a cobalt. 2010 black sstc.
-> slapbeltcomissioner i noticed when i took off my front wheels there was already a spacer in there, is another 5mm one required too?
-> jordan -thats quite possibly me, i work at autotown kia on waverly... courious how much for a tune, gains on stock sstc? worth it on stock sstc?

What rims were you running with the spacers?
You won't need an additional spacer if you already have one.. Assuming that it is at least 5mm.
I tried a 3mm spacer and the rims rocked on the brembos. Depending on what year of supercharged rim some need a 3 and some need a 5. I think some years used the ss monte/impala rim vs the supercharged rim.
Look at my pics and see how tight of clearance it is even with a 5mm spacer. I wouldn't go smaller even if it would clear.

recyclers can get more because they are competing against the brand new/GM price ~ and most of their sales are from insurance claims...
If you can do any better, then luck was factored in... or you have great tires, and the buyer paid for the rubber too...
unfortunately $500/set is about tops... for a private sale.

No they don't. Stock rims clear beautifully!
The only reason I could see someone using a spacer is to make there rims look more flush with the side of the car.
Perhaps the previous owner had someone else swap the rims from summer to winter and they didn't realize the spacers were not necessary.

have you checked that the cables are adjusted properly?
In the dead of winter I let my car warm up at least long enough to be blowing heat...
I can't immediately recall having any cold shifting issues...

Any rim with too narrow of an offset will not clear brembos.
There are several 17" rims that clear without spacers and several 18 rims as well.
He'll some people get away with ss an 17" rims and no spacer (very close) but those depend on the year of Rim as well.

The only reason I'm considering the sssc wheels is cause I can get a set of 4 cheap and they look decent.
Yeah.. this will be the last one i promise, I haven't seen it in a while.. I think I sold it. Lol
