Yaaaa blew the head gasket. Cylinder 3 was fullll of coolant. It actually broke the porcelain off the spark plug. I really hope the motor didn't hydro lock and just needs a head gasket but that's wishful thinking. I'm tearing it down tonight.

i gots a built motor just sitting in my cobalt.......diamond pistons, arp studs, cometic head gasket. With your new head gasket you should also buy a new camera man lol. Stock GM head gasket is the same as a cometic. they are both MLS. if your head is fucked you can use the spare one i got sitting in my shop. i also have 3 stock rods if you need. just throw on a new set of bearings and you will be good to go.

Lol tell me about it. I looked in my mirror and saw white smoke, looked down and rpm was at 0 haha. Guess that's what happens when you push the limits. I always put this moment in the back of my head and prepared myself for it the best I could but now that its actually happened... The hampster is now going 100 miles an hour wondering what's wrong with my motor and what does the future off my car hold. Tomorrow when I tear it down will tell the tale. But worst case situation, be prepared for one bad ass Balt in the spring

My guess would be a flaw in the block casting coupled with having over 100k of wear and tear.

The tune was spot on. I wasn't knocking during it because my interceptor lights up like christmas otherwise. I guess just too much boost for the stock block.

Well from that regard... Less haha.
I mean 100k wear and tear cups easily reduce the block strength.

Yes, Putting mileage on any vehicle will wear down the internals on a motor, But Dustin cracking his sleeves has nothing to do with that. Hes not the first person to put high horse power in a LSJ and crack stock sleeves.
