Quantrill - Port Hope .. Might Save Me!!

Well...

After finding it hard to get my lease to be taken over and even offering to get rid of it with the mods for free.. This dealer is looking into what they can do to help me out..

I was searching the autorader and looking at some pickup trucks I am interested in.. Mainly the Silverado 2500HD Diesel... I have wanted a Diesel Truck for a while cause it's best suited for my daily like use.. The car is fun and all but I realized I didn't want it to be pratical. I wanted it to have some fun and enjoy.. Now I realized I need to have something I can use to haul a 4 wheeler with.. Something good on gas.. And eventually I am going to get into the Operators Union for Heavy Machinery.. And a truck is best suited for this type of work industry going into construction sites.. Not a lowered car...

So I emailed Quantrill about one of the truck they have and explained my sisutation.. Well I got a email back asking for the information on my car so that they can call GMAC and figure out the numbers to hopefully work something out with me... So hopefully I will find out if I can get a truck...

The truck is a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.6L V8 Diesel.. It's got 82,000km on in which I sorta didn't want ot have a high mileage vehicle.. More so for having to look at that amount on the dash.. Cause in the end 82,000km is nothing for a diesel.. It's white and looks to be in good shape.. So if all goes well I might end up with this truck.. We'll have to see..

Anyone know much about this dealer?? I don't know anything about them really other then they are a GM dealer.. I know they are in Port Hope.. Anyone know the reputation of them?? Cause I bought from Bob Myers and then found out there reputation sucks. (1st hand)....

Also anyone know much about the 6.6L Diesel??

Thanks

Oh Ya..

Here is a link to the truck

Here's The Link

I hope it works.. Autotrader sometimes doesn't do to well with links..

I bought my car from Quantills and they have been very good with me... I have had some problems with my car and they have taken care of every situation with really no questions asked.
I am pretty sure they will work something out with you because they can sell the car around here very easily.

Prepared to get screwed man. I tried this with my Alero a couple years ago, its hard to get the dealer to eat the negative equity... if you are willing to pour that negative equity into the trucks payments then im sure they will help you out. But dont go thinking its going to be a wash

Ya..

My buddy (Salesman at OMS) is telling me I should just do lease busters.. Apprently with dealers you list your car with lease buster at $150 (rather then $300 for joe blow to come of the street).. Then if you use that dealer to buy a car from them they will also give your money back. So in the end its free..

The problem is.. I have been trying to get rid of this car for awhile now.. I have had interested and still nothing.. I have even offered like $7000 worth of mods for free just to have my lease taken.. But still nothing..

I don't know what it is.. People just don't have money or just interested in buying a brand new..

I am gonna have to think about it.. Quantrill has offered me a 2005 Silverado LT 4x4 Fully Loaded (leather seats, on star etc..) for $598/month.. Now that is with taking in my Cobalt.. Too me it doesn't seem bad considering its a fully loaded truck for $600/month.. Usally a truck of this year and stuff is worth about $32,000 Used.. But I never got any other numbers from the sale's lady yet.. Just the monthly thing.. I guess I am so wanting to get a truck that I am not worried about the negative equity being in my payments.. I have been trying for too long to get rid of my car..

Ya but I leased the car...

So basically why happens it.. To own my car you need to pay $23,418.. I have paid about $8000 on the car.. Plus my orginal deposit when I first bought it.. Cause it's a lease I don't even own the car.. So say in 4 years time I dont buy it back.. Well in that time al the money paid for it.. Is basically to "rent" the car and would be lost money.. So if I keep my car another 28 months (left on lease) then I would be putting money on a car I wouldn't be keeping... So for those 28 months I could be paying off the truck I would own in the end..

The money I am looking would be the difference between $23,418 and what the dealer says they can sell the car for.. So lets say $16,000 they can sell it for.. They take the lost $7400 and put it into my truck payments.. Cause they arnt going to take a $7000 lost for a lease that they dont care if they have it or not.. Basically they are doing my the favour my letting me trade it in early.. At my cost..

Wow!!!

I just got the email from the dealer.. I ain't going that route..

I just was orginally told $598/month for it, but was never told for how long.. Well I got a email back telling me all the details on this truck and the amoutn of months this truck was financed out for.. 84 months *7 years!!!* at $598 makes this 2005 truck a $50,000 truck.. Even if you take my cars negative equity for trading in early.. Still it would be about a $43,000 truck.. I see these things sell for like $30,000 and lower..

Forget that lol...
