Water Meth = 100 RWHP Gain!

I know it is not a Cobalt, but it just proves this stuff works. We have been using snow's kit for years now, and that is why we are the biggest snow dealer in Canada. You CANT spray a roots/twin screw car the same way as a centrifugal or n/a car because it needs to be in boost to work properly

Spent some time tuning a car today...

2000GT
Ported Heads
Crower Cams
T-Trim @ roughly 20psi
Water Meth.
Kooks LT Headers

Tuned the car without water meth first, as that is the proper way to control fuel...cant just tune a maf transfer function with the meth spraying. The inlet temps were an insane 203* and the car made 438rwhp because of the inlet temps are low timing

Added the water meth, tweaked the air fuel and timing to where it should be and we picked up over 100RWHP, over 60RWTQ and the inlet temp's dropped to 101*F

We could not get a good tach signal out of the car so it was tough to get adead ccurate numbers.

Preliminary results:
Pump Gas, 11.0 AFR, low timing = 545RWHP

Race Gas, 11.8 AFR, Mild Race Timing = 600rwhp

hot temps are common for big boost and no intercooler.

my wallet will be ready a week from this wed for tuning, cant wait,
meister i have a question, after you tune my car, weve discussed that mine will be fairly easy, and if i wanted to swap to a 2.7 would it need to be tuned for that pulley or is the tune im getting enough to compensate?
also if i did swap, would 60lbs fuel injectors be necessary?

actually I think water meth is a great mod, it allows you to do so much more to the car then without.

I've just never liked the Idea of spraying before the blower.
I've always thought that after the blower is the proper way to do it.

We spray after the blower with centrifugal blowers and Roots/PD blowers and turbos. You CANT spray before the blower on these car's because the meth will not atomize, nor will it be in boost so the hot temps will not drop as they should.

You want to tap the manifold/below the blower for this to work properly...this will also keep the meth off the blower rotors.

To run meth properly under the blower, you need an upgraded solenoid from snow. Because manifolds, or anywhere after a TB has vacuum, it will suck the meth into the intake at idle, etc. The upgraded solenoid prevents the meth from being sucked into the engine while running under vac. conditions

this is exatly what I've been trying to tell people, who are spraying pre-blower. WTF is the point, sure it works, but your trying to cool ambiant air as it's about to be compressed.

spray after the blower, and your cooling hot compressed air. which is the whole point of spraying.

the only real benifit to spraying pre-blower that I see, is it helps keep the temp of the blower housing cooler (to a a degree), but to what expense, risk damaging the blower, or washing the bearings of the impelers out (increasing friction).
just always gave me a bad feeling, others can do what they like, but I plan on keeping my car for a vary long time, and I want it to run perfectly as long as I can.
which is why I'm upgrading internals and not pushing them to the max.

as far as the Program goes, it's OK that we have to wait.
I'm still waiting on my Full back exhaust from JBP coming mid Aug.
