I took out my interior near the begining of summer and the only thing that went back in was the passenger front seat. The rest of the interior behind the front seats, stayed out until... well... today actually.

Nice, that would go like snot.
Tires are a huge factor. You don't have to have slicks, but sticky helps.
I dream of getting my car to 2400 one day, but it is more work than I want
right now. It helps 3 times as much for road racing, which I am going to start lightly next year. Auto-x and solo-2.
If the cobalt is 2950 stock, then new wheels, carbon hood, ditch the wing(added drag anyway), strip seats, rear carpet, speakers, extra belts, etc.
I don't see how you wouldn't be 2600.
Also, under 1/4 tank of gas.
I see a few ss/sc's in the 12's next year, easily.
At least I was faster for a short while....

i was thinking carbon doors, trunk, and hood too. plexi sides, and hard front rear glass, that would be street legal. that guy got ahold of me yest, and today.
it would be nice to simply rip apart a 3 month old car for racing only, but i guess, i could just pick up some shmo's '05 and do the same, if i waz gonna turbo and head it.

if i dont get a race car up, before the vette is ready, bye bye balty

no AC condenser, no AC compressor, no steering pump, light battery, lightweight fuel cell,
slicks up front, skinnies in back, gut it to the metal, lightweight driver seat.....

is he gonna come back to the right price curt?

Carbon doors with no rollbar is suicide.
The side impact beams really do matter.
I looked into it, they are expensive and a ton of work.
The plexi is a good idea, but the expansion rate is far more than glass,
so you may have to trim to avoid damage to the paint on the hot and sunny days.
The a/c thing is good, likely lose about 30lbs there.

he claims to have a 500 d0ollar deposit on it. we shall see.
he also didnt want to ship it to japan.
he likes the idea of me driving it away.
and they guy that "won" the auction... BS. he offered me the car that night for my last bid price.
shilling dude. Then he copntacted me again monday. and we spoke tuesday. car is still at his place.
i smell a rat.

ps, its not worth 8k. look at some 2005 on ebay that can be driven legally.
he claimed it was a lsd, and it wasnt. he said it had recarro, lol. not a chance.
he lied to me about a number of details. i pulled the complete gm history, (iknow every option it had,
when the car had warranty activated, and when gm did a full warranty void.)
and found out some insurance info. it was written off for a reason.
wet up to the floor, my @ss.
it got trapped in an underpass in a rainstorm, and drowned.water stalled the engine.

My wife works at Marshalls, what car are you talking about? I'll she if see can do some snooping around. I know there is a Blue 07 SS/SC there that is smashed up in the front end. The salesman was using it as a demo and rearended someone or something like that.

DOESNT TRAP SPEED COUNT FOR SOMETHING????
4. 13.812 @ 103.18 mph = FireStorm - SS S/C - Castrol - Sept 14th,
YOU just had better traction. my clutch was slipping more than i woulda thought possible and still get a good time. i still beat the stang by over 1 sec on that run. you should see my hpt logfile. lawl.
you can see the hangtime into second for aver a full 2 seconds
and slippage major into first. and im too blame, ive had that pretty exedy in the box the whole time and not borthered to stick itin.

What do you want to know about it though?

Yup that's the blue one that I've seen in their parking lot.

Well I can tell ya it's in the body shop right now. My wife works in the parts department there and has been taking body parts over for it. It never did get sold, it was only a demo for the saleman to drive and he smashed it up. That's about all I know right now.

technically, your guys' sigs should say "quickest" not "fastest" fastest refers to speed, where you guys are bragging about the time you finished the quarter mile...

that way a guy with the highest mph can say he is the fastest, and the guy with the quickest ET can say he is the quickest... make sense? BTW, my old cobalt trapped 104.6 mph :P
