My best trap speed for the night was 101.85 mph. I'm going to wait a bit, but I do plan on hitting another track this year.

On the front, I'm running Nexen N3000 235/40/17's. The rear have the same tires, but in the stock size (215/45/17). They're nice and cheap and at the track, they respond well to tire pressure changes. I picked them up at Contemporary Motorsports in Calgary.

let me drive your car I can get a low 16--hehe. How bad was your 60ft? Was your shifting real slow?

I have never gotten that bad. Hopefully you will improve. I went 16.2@85mph stock.

Then a 15.72@91mph on a real cool night --last year

regular is fine.

premium is only recommended for the 2.0L supercharged engines.

Also. .649 reaction time is really slow. You must not have left the line untill after ur eyes saw the green. Next time, as soon as u see the last yellow then launch. But the reaction time doesnt effect your ET.

Ur car isnt fast enough to be dangerous on the track IMO. Tell ur gf that... lol

yeah, you need alot of practice but when u get it, ull notice ur times dropping significantly.

yea i was reading the manual for my car and it said something about 2.4 need higher then 87 or they get a spark knock or some **** and it slows acceleration down?

yea i saw the green light and was oh crap.... i know im supposed to launch at the last yellow but for th first time on teh track i was little overwhelmed and **** just runing through my head and forgot .. haha!! i was thinking on my way up... 3rd yellow, 3rd yellow... and i didnt... normally i can do a high .1xx or low .2xx, been practicing... but..

and i know its not dangerous... yet... but shes jsu scared cuz she saw a corvette lose grip and drift towards the wall, i was like hun... i dont haven even close to the power it has.. yet :P

i wanted to go again that night but she was upset so...

Jekyl, make an honorable mention list, then you can stick non delta bodies on the list like yourself and n/adc5 on the list, and anyone else who hangs on the site, think there are a few srt-4's, gives us an idea of what our competition will be. I went out a couple of Fridays ago, but apparently you’re not allowed to race in shorts, but you can in a t-shirt...stupid rule. Going to try and get out there again one of these days, but looking at stealing my buddy’s 16" steelies with snow tires, got to beat that 13.9 @ 109 from last year lol. Thinking the snow tires might be able to hook up alot better as well as not have to worry about spinning those heavy and huge 18" tires.

maybe not so much the tires, just the smaller diameter wheel. We will see, might do a couple of passes with both the 18's and the 16's.

never listen to S/C guys about the 2.4L octane Cody.....geeze man....

91 Octane--says right in the owners manual. You can run lower but power will drop a bit.

Mike, Ur gonna have to take a picture of where it says in the 2.4L owners manual that premium is required.

It might be "recommended" but im pretty sure they will run with no problems at all on 89 oct.

The 2.0L however are "required" to run on 91 octane minimum.

trust me on this Cody...I have an 06 and 07 Cobalt. I read the manual. They changed the wording from 06-07 but the meaning is the same.

The 2.0 will run on less then 91 too---it'll run like **** though.

I put 1 tank of 87 in a few weeks ago---my 2.4L ran like crap. At a light it was shaking and the dash was rattling.

This topics been convered to death here....just go to the 2.4L and ask. You'll see I am right.

I'd take a pic but my camera is dying Just trust me on this
