well actually this one was first but nobody wanted to put up a poll so i started a new thread. i guess i could just paste the current list of people to that thread and we can all talk about the meet on there.

 

id prefer it to be alberta but i will go to sask or bc

If the meet is in BC, where is everyone thinking for it to be?

 

we got mountains/scenery everywhere here so i'd say central/ lower bc as the best bet

 

well whats some good tracks out there. i don't know what you all got out there for decent tracks whether it be auto-x, road course or drag

 

isnt there a track in coquitlam or something... but thats farrrr

11 hours away from calgary. sask and manitoba people might not like the travel time lol

 

I say here but It isn't really up to me..we don't have a balt anymore..just a car that will be putting down close to 400 whp:P

 

only real drag track is in mission which is like an hour or 2 from vancouver...and then theres an track section behind teh drag strip.and other than that i think thats pretty much it for bc lol..theres a drifting ring around hope i think or something thats it lol

 

We got mission raceway drag strip. It's at sea level, we Also have rods RWD cobalt dragster that should be done by then

 

I can likely come, so add me to the Sask list for now.

 

If the meet is in BC, take me off the list.
The last thing I need is to travel 1500km's to listen to a bunch of whiny girls like last year.

If you had such a problem with the people that were at the meet last year then dont come this year no matter where its at, i dont remember hearing people whining. Great community we have on here with comments like this.

This was put to a poll, if 50% plus want it in BC then thats where it goes.

As well, we did complain last year, but obviously you missed that too. The first year was far better, and any one that bothered to spend the night in drum will agree. Unfortunately, the calgary people who pussed out didn't get to experience the fun in it's entirety (i'm assuming you're one of them).
Furthermore, no one comes on this site because it sucks. Low maturity, idiot 'know it alls', and over moderation killed css. And before you come back with 'well don't post here'; I usually don't. Us sask guys have our own site for a reason.... To avoid the stupidity that is css.

 

I wasnt at drum the first year at all because i was getting married, but thanks for the comments. You said you werent coming because it was going to be in BC but the place hasnt even been decided. Chad put in alot of work to make Edmonton work, and i enjoyed using the track and visting with people. I wouldnt be surprised if there is no meet this year. There is alot of good guys from Calgary so i would watch before you attack us all, you dont even know me but yet attack me, nicely done. I would like everyone to actually be civilized and if the vote determines its going to be somewhere where you cant go then dont go, thats all i was saying. Yes the site has alot of imature people on it but you dont have to post in those forums, i dont. I use it to keep in the local forum and then for parts and etc. You dont have to go off the handle.

I'll start with; Chad and I have an understanding about what went on last year.... and I'll leave it at that.
As far as the Calgary guys... I know a fair few... and most of them happen to be the brave ones that chose to stay and party with us troopers out at Drumheller. Again, I'll leave it at that.

As far as me 'attacking you'... I did no such thing. You chose to get overly defensive about my post, and I replied appropriately. On a similar note, you seems to assume I'm 'mad' about something. Again, a major negative there. It's the way I post... if you don't like it, don't read it.


Maybe some people are misreading my concerns; we have a meet that has in the past been mostly about Alberta and Saskatchewan... organized in Alberta... hosted in Alberta (as a centralized event), now (tentatively) being moved to BC... and to the coast none the less.
Now, if the 16-18 year old kids here have their summers to waste traveling to the coast for something like this, that's fine. But some of us with real jobs couldn't be bothered to travel for 2 days, only to camp out for one night and listen to a bunch of people talk about how little they know about their cars.

Either way, I'm too ******* busy for this. Take me off the list, and don't look in to the fact anymore.

 

well this is another proud css moment. guys come on i am a neautral party here i respect both of you and i had a great time visiting with you both last year. the success of the first meet was no question very good. i didnt attend coz i didnt even know about it or had a balt. edmonton was a success coz of the hard work of chad and a few others. the weather was a big concern last year if you all remember correctly there was a tornado not even 50km away. so no one can blame anyone to choose the safe route. now as far as this years meet is concerned. the vote is up and not over yet. i like both places sask and bc. i do agree that it should be somewhere else then ab. we have had it 2 yrs in a row. it istime we share. the vote is up to us members to decide. now when it is choosen some members will have to put their daily lives aside and organize it. i know that people will be there in sask to do this job. however i yet to hear anyone step up from bc. we need people to do the job chad did last year. if you ask chad this is no small feat. he worked damn hard on it. i know coz i helped a lil bit. so until there is a permant organizer who will step up and make this thing happen we shouldnt even think that it will end up where the vote maybe. without that person, the meet is dead in the water. so as far as you two bickering it makes no sense to me is in why. this whole meet thing is in jeapordy and i am not happy about it coz i actually enjoyed it last year and made many new friends. tell you the truth i would go across this nation to meet fellow enthuisists, who are like myself and really couldnt care on how far and how long they have to travel. it is very sad to see this happen to this great site. i know it isnt just us it is the whole site. i am officially disappointed with the turn of events here in the last 6 months. now i am even questioning on why i come here to see great guys fight amonst each other. this is bs!!!!!!!!

 

Yea, i don't think i would be able to make a BC meet this year. We are going to be doing some family traveling/shopping in July that is going to eat some expenses up, and with layoffs looming again, its too uncertain for me.

 

Just charge per km for rides with your SRX for those who can't bring a car.

 

I wont be able to make BC or SASK...
