I`m in vancouver right now and i have to say the meet should be in BC...this place rocks for the sites...im defently coming here on my bike in the spring/summer.

 

You know what Tyler i think your post came across strong and I read into it too much. End of the matter being as Mark stated that nobody has even stepped up to organize anywhere yet so no big panic, it may end up in sask or alberta. Like i said i never wanted to fight so sorry for reading into it to much.

 

Speaking of stepping up.... I have made arrangements for those that wish to come to Saskatoon I got 2 FULL HOTELS, 1 with a campsite and it's 5 km's away from SIR

I got this done and pre confirmed by Dec 22nd 2009.

But my other account was deleted/banned for whatever reasons. Which i dont really care about.

Oh... by the way.. i talked the hotel price down by 12.00 / night

65.99 / night, full access to the pools after hours, and 5 km's away from SIR

 

is there camping available near by.

 

The campsite is 150 ft from the back door of the hotel,.... If i get time tomorrow i'll take pictures of the site/hotel.

 

im getting the sense that even if BC wins the poll its not gonna be here any way seeing some reactions lol

 

well in the end if nobody from bc is gonna step up and track down info and set things up for the meet and someone from sask is already doing that then the logical thing would be to do it in sask. as much as i would like bc it doesn't really matter to me.

 

i agree with steve on this. you may win the poll but one of you will have to commite yourselves to organizing it. this is no small job. chad worked damn hard on it last year, with help from some of us. he was putting himself on the line and really came through in the end. i supplied the decals for the meet in which i am willing to do again but before i commite myself to this i want to see a person completely dedicated to organizing this event. just so you know it took me almost 2 months to complete it. i will be changing the approach on these to make it easier for me this year. if this event is going to be successful the organizer must be prepared and on the ball. there is too much that can go wrong and when guys are coming from 2 provinces away you do not want to have any mistakes. once again if he hasn't heard it before i will say it again CHAD YOU DID A HELL OF A JOB LAST YEAR!!!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH. for the record i voted i dont care where it is. so hopefully if you win bc someone will step up and take on this challenge. if not then we will see you at saskatoon boys!!!!!!!!! one last thing i actually hope someone does step up from bc coz that will mean we can race in conditions comparible to the americans and the we can see how our times finally compare to them. instead of racing at 3000ft above sea level and running a sec slower then them.

 

ya rob is pretty much the one that does our bigger events and stuff and hes in new zealand still i think

I can look into when hes due to be back but it seems people have their minds made up about BC anyways

 

well no offense to the others but this is a western canada cobalt meet and last time i checked BC is as far west in canada as you can go. and if someone is able to set everything up for BC then that is where the meet will be. if we loose a few people due to them not being able to take the time off to do the trip, then it is 100% understandable.

 

BC AB SK I dont care, I dont really want to travel to Manitoba... but I might depending when and where.

This would be my first big meet, so I hope its legit lol

 

well this will be our 3rd annual one so ya it should be a gooder once everything gets settled out

 

yai am excited for this meet hopefully lots of people go and we can get it sorted out

 

Rob is gone for 3 months, he left in december some time so she should be back around march and he maybe interested in planning

 

Ok rob posted in the bc section and said he would help organize if its in bc, i would also help and im sure theres a few others to pitch in. Hes back march 6th

yeah I definitely can... Tell them I won't be able to start planning that until minimum early march when I get back then I can look into that stuff

Question, how long is this poll going on for?

 

I'll either take charge or help out alot if its in alberta....if i have time ,thats the thing, i wont know for a few months. Just found out ill either be taking my gunners course for thanks or my leadership course so i might be gone for most of the summer.

 

at the lastest i will close the poll by the end of the 2nd week of febuary. i was thinking of closing it at the end of january.

 

I know us in SK are having a 24 member meet this summer. Even talks about a Drumheller weekend trip and also a Swift Current Drag weekend.

 

i know i am speaking from the rest of us that this is cool with those meets but we would love to see you all at the meet if bc gets it. it sounds like they are getting people involved now and the poll is definatly in thier favour. so i hope that you all show up there too. i do realize that it is far but it will be worth it in my books.
