Why would you not just wait intill you got new rotors to put new pads on?!
Kinda defeating the purpose.

because if I don't put new pads on I won't have any brakes and I have to order the rotors in.

Couldn't you just get them *Turned * Unless they're to far gone....

because the rotor on there now has what you can say grooves. Putting new pads witch are flat witch will not give you 100% braking power because they only touch the peaks of the grooves.

Great for a quick fix... maybe like 2 weeks.. but after that I would put new pads on with new rotors.. IMO

That's exactly my plan as the pads that I just put on our going to warp to the shape of the rotor.

Greg;
you don't need to buy new pads for when you replace the rotors ~ just saying...

or you could just keep them around for spares later on...

Did you read the thread linked earlier?
There is a service bulletin of sorts ~ which is how I got mine done...

Also if your one tire is bad, you could buy a replacement of the same brand/size if you've got enough depth ~ or a pair of similar tread design, and same seasonal rating...

oh yeah!!

I just wanna say one thing (I've posted it in one other spot, in hopes of it not being missed) - then I'm calling it a night...

With most women, when you say, or suggest in any fashion that they're not fat - they take it as a compliment... Kass on the other hand, simply tells you to shut up.
