I live really close to Cardel, but I've never seen the black or white ss/na's. There used to be an orange ss/na in the neighbourhood, but the owner moved a few months ago.

Genesis 2013 with the 2.0T
Curb weight M/T (lbs) - 3362-3492
Curb weight A/T (lbs) - 3424-3554
(400lbs MORE weight than a SSTC
)
Horsepower @ RPM (Premium / Regular) - 274 @ 6000 / 260 @ 6000
Torque @ RPM (lb.-ft.) (Premium / Regular) - 275 @ 2000 / 260 @ 2000
A STOCK SSTC would stomp it man (2,975-pound SSTC coupe), not to mention a tuned one!
(sstc pwr band, stock runs straight up from 2000rpm)"Though peak torque arrives early on at 2,000 rpm, this engine pulls the Cobalt SS Turbo like Usain Bolt dragging a Little Red Flyer for 200 meters. Turbo lag is scant, with a torrent rush of power coming on early and building linearly until the tach needle begins bouncing against its 6,250 rpm redline. Chevy claims the Cobalt SS Turbo will hit 60 mph in 5.7 seconds, which must be conservative considering how fast the trip feels".
Review: 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo
The Genesis to watch out for is the 3.8l v6, (2013 Genesis Coupe Specifications)
2013 Genesis coupe V-6 -----348hp & 295ftlbs with pretty much same weight as the 2.0 genesis(3433-3563lbs M/T & 3433-3613lbs A/T ) Previous model 3.8 v-6 had the almost as good 0-60 times as a stock sstc.
haha a drivers race.
Ill gladly race a 2013 this summer, if any r willing.

not that I'm concerned about it, but I'm surprised they have dropped in value as quickly as they have...
good post
GMS1 SS/TC: 280hp & 320ft/lbs
just saying.

I looked at the Genisis coupe in 2009 when I was in the market - they are nice cars, but IMHO they are a little pricey...
but at least he base car gets a respectible power increase (they used to only have 205hp);
That 3.0l power increase also makes the car seem that much better...
I've been contemplating meeting up with Vince for a dyno tune session... :naughty:

Also, Don't forget from a Dig a gen has a huge advantage in traction.
not a bit of a stretch at all, MY TC would STOMP a 2.0 genesis no prob, as it has before the 2013 and will do just as easy after the 2013 realeased.
given, that from a dig most cant launch their cars as its touchy, to say the least lol...........
as i mentioned earlier the contender here is the 3.8 v-6 genesis
(not to mention that the top line 3.8v6 is just few thousand bucks shy of a fully loaded 370Z.)http://www.insideline.com/hyundai/ge...full-test.html
2010 v6 3.8 ->"V-6 enough horsepower to satisfy if not electrify with its 5.7-second runs to 60 mph (all on regular gas!)". (2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 V6 - Road Test - Car Reviews - Car and Driver)
2010 SSTC -> 0-60 5.7 sec
hmmmmmmmm
anyway, each to their own, ur entitled to ur opinion as am I

My ss/tc will stomp a new one also, that has nothing to do with the comparision of a stock.
At least i hope my 332 WHP 393 wtq TC would take a stock 210 hp gen coupe LOL.
Regardless, stock for stock is a drivers race, The new coupe is heavier but has a 6 speed transmission, better gearing , more crank power (not sure what they will dyno at) but is slighty heavier, Drivers race for sure.
But like you said, to each their own.
HA-HA!
I see what's happening there;
Jordan(Projekt) you're fixating on the 2.0T ~ and Nathaniel(turdbalt) is talking about the 3.8 being a closer match...
yup.
fixed
GC's are nice cars, but when I sat down to talk the nitty-gritty about them, and ask why options or option packages were done how they were, or why stuff wasn't offered in Canada ~ I got alot of info on the heads in Korea being behind decisions like that...
I fully realize we live in a global economy, but when people should be concerned about their money being used to employ people on our soil ~ a bunch of talk about stuff taking place in Korea isn't exactly a selling point in my books.
I think I have the Genisis Coupe debut show still saved... it was a nice show, and hte car is a great step up from the Tiburon it replaced.

so has anyone heard of any deals with onstar of late?
mine has lapsed, and I don't plan on renewing... but if the right deal was out there...
I found out this morning that I'm in some sort of "grace" period ~ because it still works...
