well some more progress was made tonight. got the crankshaft, rods and pistons out. it doesn't look to bad inside just normal wear and tear i guess. Cylinder #3 looks like it had some more than normal wear on the bearing.

I'll make sure to let the shop know when they check it out

not that anyone cares!

awesome news im going back to sleep again, typical lazy sunday for me

 

what brand bearings are you going to replace them with?

 

In the racing ecotec they used clevite. I might just get GM bearings as this isn't going to be a racing motor

 

ding ding ding. clevites also like to get replaced every so often. gm bearings still looked brand new in both ryan and matt's cars after 900hp and 700hp dyno pulls in each.

 

And they are easy to find

 

and super cheap

 

That's never my concern

If you cheap out, you usually get what you pay for

 

well theres a difference between gm and cx racing. hahaha
