Is he still around?
I know Steve still hung out with him about a year ago...
I personally never had a problem with him, but he had a major chip on his shoulder against me - presumably after I made him eat crow from trying to humilate me infront of friends with his car...
I had figured after his skirmish with a bus, that he might have moved on from this scene.
I think Steve said he doesn't come here...

Good news! I heard my intercooler pump running for the first time today!
The wires were switched up and/or the add-a-fuse was in the wrong position.
I've got it running off the ignition fuse, which is not ideal, but its the only one that I could get the results I wanted. Went for a quick spin, still running a little hot, so I need to improve the coolant flow a little bit.
My interceptor also came in last friday, so when I get that installed, I'll accurately see what my temps are.
I'm thinking about swapping out the old MAP for the brand new one I have, seeing if that makes a difference.

I know that you guys mean well, but I would think you two wouldn't immediately jump to blaming the tune;
I did a datalog, but Peter found mechanical issues and he hasn't arranged to re-datalog with me...
IIRC:
- Timing is cut when something askew is detected, but fuel is added or subtracted via readings from the O2.
- More fuel does cool the combustion process - the ECM moniters the EGT vai the O2 to see if fuel and/or timing needs to be adjusted;
>> Too hot = more fuel
>> Too cold = less fuel
- predetonation ect is attempted to be kept under control with timing.
Both timing and fuel supply play together... but once again, I am not the tuner, I am just the middle man, who has a vauge understanding of how these all work;
As long as the maps are extensive enough, and Peter drives like an old lady, he should be good till we can meet up.
Peter, if you had aspired to meet up before the long weekend, I'm not going to be able to meet;
I am leaving for BC after work on Wednesday, returning monday night.
If you do get more stuff figured out, please get ahold of me to arrange a datalog asap...
