I live in Edmonton, bought a 09 LNF about 3-4 months ago. Completely stock but I have been doing lots of research on here. I come from the MZR (Speed3) world so I have experience with tuning and wrenching. Been talking with KM043 about different options. Just figured I'd stop in to say hello!

So looking at inter coolers. Zip offers a full kit at like 800 usd but modern performance has just the inter cooler on its own. If I was to just get the mpx one can I use the stock piping or will I need all new pipes either way

 

You can just buy the intercooler from ZZP

 

Which is better in quality? Or are they pretty much the same.

 

The only stuff that would fit the lnf would be the mounts

 

Never seen the MPX i went ZZP

 

Hopefully they put them on sale

 

Like I said I got 40% off last year on black friday

One of my pet peeves about about ZZP, is that their charge pipes aren't spelt out if you just want to buy them seperate from the intercooler;
They offer parts - but don't say what's needed to have the complete setup... or you get it all with their intercooler kit.

Both are about the same price;
Both were designed to work with stock chargepipes - if any intercooler wasn't designed to work with stock pipes, it would be in my opinion a poorly designed part.

I personally like MPx, the stuff they make seems to always be a cut above the rest - they simply seem to put more thought into their parts.

Unfortunately, to get in on ZZP black friday deals, you need to take the day off from work;
Be online ready to spend when their sales go live... otherwise you're SOL.

Well our dollar is **** but I still ended up getting the intercooler from zzp for 230.99 after shipping and conversion was just shy of 400.

 

And got the dual pod on sale as well. There goes my Christmas bonus lol

Well... crap-stinking-sandwich....

I had a super busy day today, then had to rush out after work, and rush out after inhaling supper...
Then after getting home, and sitting down, I remembered about zzp's black Friday deals - at about five to 10pm...
I had selected an item that was discounted on my phone, selected a shipping method, and the mobile browser appeared to take a dump...
So I jumped on a computer, again, selected the item I wanted, selected the shipping...
clicked paypal...
then it appeared to go back a page - I lost the discount, and was being asked to re-select shipping...

ugg.

So I emailed them to see if I can still get in on it, or if I'm SOL.

The interceptors are only 10% off. Was gonna do a dual setup but for 359us I may wait.
