he doesn't meet up with us;

but you say he's active.
so kev, you're porting heads - plural?
please explain further.
i like the disbelief in the ko4 thread;
what do you think my odds are of breaking 400 with meth, and my parts?

I'm doing a LNF head for Nathan, Jon's LS heads 454 heads and 2 LSJ heads. Soon I may be doing a set of Hemi heads for a guy Jon knows
The only thing I can think of that would hold you back Jonathan is fuel. You are going to be able to get the air flow in my opinion but to be able to back that flow up with the timing to break 400 will be the issue.
my gas will always be the stuff you don't like;
I totally understand that as far as you are concerned there is more power potential from running ethanol blends, but I just know too many downsides to running e-blends;
I had thought you suggested previously that with my gas and meth, I should be doing better than running a decent e-blend w/o meth...
Which is why I asked.

also worth a quick read is this one;
Jay Leno hates ethanol | Autoweek
You may choose to scoff, but the number of times I am reading of gas tank corrosion, and even aluminum engines parts prematurely wearing, are mounting...
If you can afford to go through your whole fuel system, and even replace your engine just because of the gas you run, great, but I will chose to stay as far as possible from ethanol blended gasoline.
Stop to think of this;
Sure there are more and more vehicles on the road which are advertised as being fine for higher levels of e-blend gas, but how long are vehicles generally staying on the road these days?
- the answer is, only a fraction of the time that vehicles have conventionally built to last;
This means that the manufacturer doesn't concern themselves with "premature" engine wear because of e-blends, all they car is that the engine lasts through the powertrain warranty - and little else.

ethanol can corrode metal parts and damage some synthetic parts. Some recent cars are made without ethanol-resistant materials

I am also one of those guys who lurks around and only posts once or twice a year... Hopefully I can meet up with some people this year. I know I need to make at least one trip to Calgary or Edmonton this summer, need to get a tune!
