well everyweek you have a new dream build so i guess its fair. you always used to say you wanted to build a corvette and when i said i wanted a stang you'd say it was a waste of time. i guess after a while you realised that they are sweet and cheap to make fast.

remember when the g35 was your dream car?

props on buying a stang though. what are the specs?

Thats why I bought the mustang. It can actually take a beating if so desired. It is also capable of 450 rwhp on stock internals. Slap a SC on there and away yah go. That and the rumble of the V8. No replacement for displacement my friends.

Lets put it this way. The mustang is an American I-con. It has been around for 44.5 years. It is one of those bang for your buck muscle cars that never looses its allure. I am not saying they are the best cars on the road mind you but they sure are alot of fun and everyone knows a mustang when they see it. Everywhere I go people comment on my car and it is not even half as nice as some I've seen.

If you buy one you will deffinatly love the car. There is so much out there for after market it is un real and reasonably priced to. The power mods I have took the car from 265 rwhp to 285 on 87 octane and 315 on 91. I only have a K&N CAI and preditor tuner with bama tunes. Not bad HP ganes for only those two power mods. If I put UDPs, , delete plates, Bassani x-pipe and high flow cats teamed with axle back exhaust I was told I should be in the 325+ rwhp range which is not bad for bolt on power mods in the range of $2000 CAD on a NA car.

cheers

Hey Alen

What year fox? I had an 85 coupe with T-tops back in the day. Only one I ever saw in calgary with T's. Bought it from a family in Cali back in 1990.

Here are some sights you should check out:

http://mustangcanada.com/

http://www.mustangforums.com/

Mustang Canada forum is a great place to learn stuff. There are a lot of Fox guys on there and they are always willing to help a fellow stanger out. I use the other site for there classifieds.

Cheers

Why do you want to remove your muffler??

Your car is going to sound like **** if you do that. And you are giving the po-po more reason to pull you over and give you a ticket.

why wouldnt you just buy an LX with a 5.0L engine and build from there?, that woulda been way cheaper then swappping. of a GT with a 5.0L?

oh nice.

well in case you havent already reasearched it, here is a thread about all the parts that your gonna need to make your engine work in a 2.3. might cost a little more then a grand total of 1600.00, im not sure though, the list seems pretty deep.

Mine was the 5.0 GT coupe with T's. I have only seen three other GT coupes that I can think of of which mine was the only one with the T-roof option. A buddy of mine had the exact same car but a fast back. He rolled it one year when we were coming back from Sylvan lake. I was cruising in mine behind him then all of a sudden his car swerved across the highway just after Olds crossed over into on coming trafic then flipped three or four times ejecting him and his girlfriend then came to a stop. I stopped my car ran across the highway expecting them to be dead. They both emerged with only minor cuts and bruises luckily. When the RC's arrived they wanted to know what happened to the bodies and when I pointed out that Darrell and Jen where in the car he could not believe it.

That was my worst experience owning a mustang but there were alot more good times I had with that car.

Cheers
