Calgary - random talk thread
no price isnt a factor, but its gotta be reasonable, i cant just get top of the line equipment for everyone. like the secretary is gonna need standard stuff middle of the line equipment, while the graphic designers will need top of the line graphic set up and ****.. and the manager will need lots of storage so he can run the programs that the graphic artists use and whatnot..
This just pisses me off more towards GM..........this is an 09 Cobalt 2.2L and the usual silver POS cheep looking trim is now black........i don't understand WTF GM, why couldn't u do my ss/tc that way? or all the Cobalts since day 1??? lol they even skipped the steering wheel silver trim pieces......this makes me more and more not wanting to buy another GM.

Is the person who owns the car pissed off about it? If so, tell them to head back to the dealer and fix it. It is a brand new (or pretty close to it) car and warranty is not an issue here. Pretty simple.
If you are going to base buying a GM car on something as simple as that, then you my friend are quite picky. If you are having major problems with the car, such as transmission issues or say a constant engine issue, then yes I understand why you would not want to buy a GM again. But this is a little problem that can be easily fixed.
srsly?
That's like me saying gm is garbage cause I missed out on the heated front seats and air bag sensors by 6 months. Lawl

my base model 2006 came with the blackish grey trim.. I painted it anyway to what I wanted. If your havin such a big problem with it why don't you just paint it the color you want it to be and leave it at that instead of complaining.
They aren't on his car....it is like that on someone else's car.

You can't knock me for wanting a slightly more refined interior, that is personal choice. Yes I could paint it but in the end I am still disappointed with the overall interior and it makes me think in 2 years when I'm in the market for a 2nd vehicle it might not be a GM. I am still very happy with my Cobalt regardless of interior woes, I could not ask for a better setup sports car for the price paid.......u just can't escape that if GM had spend $500 more per ss/sc and ss/tc cobalt on a slightly nicer interior they would have sold like hotcakes. (<--yes i know that topic has been beat to death, raised from the dead and beaten to death again 100times over) And if somebody has decent experience pulling all the silver trim apart and wishes to offer their assistance one weekend to help me get it all pulled apart and painted that would be incredible
well, in other news the ebrake does not click into place anymore, i can hold the ebrake up and it still holds the rear brakes so it's not the cables......such a shame lol i'll get a free oil change outta this
It's not that hard to pull the trim pieces off. Yes they are held in quite well with the metal clips, but with a decent amount of careful force you can get them off. I have done it a couple of times now. And as for painting them, I know there is a "How to" on here somewhere on how to do that.
it's days like today that make me want to put my summer tires back on, i'm told the conti's can deal with VERY LIGHT snow if your careful........but then we all know this is Calgary and tomorrow it could be -20C and had snowed 20cm already..........but then again lol it's February and it's +13C........i see a trend
