You know I was not trying to slam you. I was trying to help you out. You asked a question to which you did not seem to know the answer then you slam someone trying to help you. I did not realize you purchased a new PCM from OTT, you did not state that. I was tuning those cars along with Chris and Mark before you even had one. If you didn't want an answer to your question then why ask. No wonder no one bothers with this thread other than a select few. I will not help anyone again...sniff, sniff!!

Yes you do. It would appear you have done a few things to your ride yourself. I think the last time I saw you was in that place that shall not be mentioned...

That would be the one and yes there are some sweet cars of all kinds. If you have a preference it would probably be there. It's also a good chance to wine down hump day. We normally meet there right after work at 5:00 and don't leave until the sun starts going down.

Cheers and lets get a cobalt contingency there this summer.

I wasnt trying to be an ass, but i said all i needed was a case learn in the previous post and in my sig it said i had the OTT tune, and then you went on about driving without a tune. I have had the car for 3 years so its not like im brand new to the car either. My bad, the way it sounded to me is that you were slamming me, again my misinterpertation sorry i was in a bad mood last night. I appreciate the help and just made a stupid comment

It's all good bud. No I was not trying to slam you. I actually went back and read my post and yes it does sound a bit condesending so I do appolagise if it came across as so. OTT does sell canned tunes by the way. Any how glad to here you got her running good.

So i have a bad luck cloud following me around, go to start my car tonight, looks like all the lights are dimmer but not sure if it was just me or not, go to pull out and sure enough altenator light and dies. Has anybody else had this happen, Im getting it towed in as its on warranty but a little worried as i just installed the stage 1 kit, cant think what i could have done to cause it to fail though, any thoughts. Checked all connections and they all look good, im baffled. I dont have a multimeter either to check for a charge.

Will the dealership replace it with me putting the kit on or will i end up paying for it?

well the stage kits are gm approved now they may or may not warranty it if you installed it yourself. which dealer are you taking it to?. and i doubt the stage kit affected your alternator as i've never heard of this happening to any other staged ss/sc on here or one that has come into the shop. but thats just me. the end call is the shop manager and the shop foreman

i still stick to my initial thought. i wouldn't mention it to them but thats just me. if they are really picky about it they would notice but i don't think you will have any problems.

Hmmm... Just a thought here. Make sure they don't try to flash the PCM. You may lose your tune if they do. I would not think the new OTT PCM would effect the alt. or your lights. Check your grounds and make sure the wire harness is proporly connected. I have heard of the pins being bent when reconnecting the
Module. The one problem might be that it is not a GM certified stage kit. Like Steve said it is on the discression of the dealer you take it to. You may have to disclose that your car is staged for them to make a propore diagnosis though. Just don't tell them unless asked which kit it is other than stage 1.

Just my thoughts

hey i got full stock SS/SC exhaust if anyone wants it. header, DP and catback (in 2 pieces) make me an offer i guess. id say like $130 for everything, or i can sell separate, i dont really care. im not shipping though. catback has less than 3,000kms and header DP have around 6,000kms.
