well let me know if you end up selling it. If you part out i might buy the tvs back...rumor has it with slight modifications the tvs will fit on the 370z....GTM was trying to make a kit but decided to give up on that idea...now they are saying they might be able to try the tvs 1900...i know the 1320 will make a difference.

In my opinion yes, I was going to put them into my STI until I found this Camp 2 module.

They are comparable to autometer, and they have a 1 year warranty.

Don't pay to get them done, its super easy to do. But if you do they will probably charge 300. (2.5 to 3 hours of labour). Unless you find an honest shop

It's 3.2 hrs plus an alignment. Not sure what you mean about an honest shop...Maybe you like working for free.. I went to the doctor the other day waited there 2 hrs talked to him for 2 minutes and I am sure he charged Alberta health care more than 2 minutes time...
Just because you don't need to be a mechanic to do stuff to your car doesn't mean people that do it for a living should do it for free..
See what happens if you call a plumber to come out and plunger your toilet.. anyone can do that but if he comes and does it you're getting a $150 bill.

ive done springs on MULTIPLE cars.. including many of the guys on this site...

if you need some done, i charge a case of beer, then you need to book for an alignment (im pretty good at keeping the alignment right)

holy **** pull the pms out of your pants, i think everyone here has had a shop that has overcharged for something so dont jump all over me. What the **** is wrong with people lately. I never said people had to do it for free thats why i said 2.5 to 3 hours, some people want like 5-6 hours. Ive had someone quote me 600 labour to do brakes, so back off. That was all i was refering to. No **** there billing for for coming out to fix our toliet and doctors. **** off if you wanna take things like that.

Without the alignment it should only truly take a max of 2 hours as well if you have the right tools. i believe 3.2 is to much time i dont care what book time is. That is my opinion you dont have to agree, and im just talking about are car not other cars.

So you said 2.5 - 3 hours or $300...and Spaz agrees with ya. He is just wondering why you said afterwards "unless you find an honest shop". $300 is pretty reasonable to put on new springs on a car, then you have to get an alignment which is about $100 or so. But like you said they are not that hard to do, if you have the tools and a place to do them. And being that it is kind of winter now in Alberta, doing mechanical work outside is kind of thrown out the window.

And not to be a **** here, but you getting your back up and swearing, it's not going to get you anywhere. Trust me...I have done it on here more then once.

Yah because i dont think its a 3+ hour job, with proper tools it doesnt take this long. Again my opinion, dont expect to agree. The booked time on jobs is so screwed up, they over charge for many things and then dont allow enough time for other jobs. If they work straight at it they woudl have it all done within 2 hours. Thats why i said honest because should only be that much. As well the responses and example after he was giving was just dumb and not at all applicable to this situation.

You should be billed for exact time, ive been billed an hour before for something that took them 5 minutes at gm and they openly admitted that was totally absurd once i confronted them on it....

Completely understandable.....but as Spaz put as examples every other company has "set rates". A plumber shows up to un-clog your toilet...set rate. You get work done on your car...set rate.

Now I agree that some jobs do not take what is in the book....but the book is a standard across the board. Here is another example. I had a clutch replacement done on my old Toyota Matrix XRS. Book time says 6 hours for removal and replacement of the clutch. It took the mechanic half that time. Why? Because he is very experienced at what he does and knows exactly what to do.

I still get charged for the 6 hours though. Can I complain? Yes. Is it worth it? No, because if I went to any other shop they would have quoted the exact same hours for the job. The only thing that might be different is the $$$/hour.

And in the same breathe if said mechanic took 12 hours to do the job, I only get charged 6 hours. Seems like a really good deal to me looking at it that way.

There are pros and cons to the whole system, as with pretty much everything else in the world. But it is just one of those things that is out of our hands.

yah i agree, all said and done i was not trying to say anyone should have to work for free because i can do stuff myself-there is plenty of things that i pay other people to do, exactly what you said- again another shitty system we have to work with. I also was not saying all shops are dishonest but there is some pretty bad ones out there and i think we can all agree to that. One of my friends is a shop foreman for dodge so i hear all of the stories and it is a messed up system.

I am just saying if they charge you 3 hrs they are still an honest shop so I'm not sure why you threw that in there... Yes there is a lot of shops that suck, do shitty work and rip people off but 3hrs if fair.. And ps it only takes me 1 hr with a wheel alignment.

If you want to start talking to me like that maybe we should meet up somewhere and settle this... everyone is so tough on the net.. come say that to my face and see what happens.

i would have said the same thing to your face if you said something like that to me, you were just as much of an ass with your examples and saying i expect people to work for free so dont start calling me out for a fight, im not 14

you got your back up against the wall as much as me and i said that if you wanna take things so personal to **** off because i dont have time for people like that, it was a simple comment about some shops being dishonest not directed at you
