Btw everyone needs to get to race city tonight, our city council is doing EVERYTHING they can to abolish support for race city, they have in the last day or 2 BANNED every single law enforcement agency that were on board in alberta from supporting it (team from edmonton, RCMP, And CPS were going to have a "law enforcement shootout" for fastest law enforcement car in Alberta...

Bunch of ******* retards that will blow money on pedestrian bridges that are 20x as much as they need to be but wont build the landfill around a small plot of land because it will cost them money. Complete arogance because some of them are not motor sports fans.

But city council should give themselves another pat on the back and what the hell throw in a raise and bonus well there at it when they do vote to close it down because of a paper work error on the owners part. Good Job council members

 

actually i talk to the wife and i think we should be there around 8-9 ish. this is to important to miss. city council thinks it's a burden to have a race track, i wonder what is worse. keeping or suppling a new race track or the many people loosing their lives or liciences due to street racing. i totally agree with you tj some people really need to pull thier head out of thier asses.

 

People never look at the big picture always just think oh the repercussions will go away after a few weeks and people will forget about this. Yes it will seem this way because we are going into winter, but let’s all close our eyes when spring hits and we see the first fatality on Calgary’s roads due to street racing. Yes the city is not endorsing it directly but by closing the track and having no other option within 2 hours they are indirectly encouraging it. I hope they realize and vote the right way on Monday or maybe we should drag race down 6th avenue downtown at that point to show what its like (Joking of course)

that would be funny if there was enough cars show up to block off all the 6 th ave corridore and hold steet drags. i like the idea hahaha. that would take alot of people. lol one could probally pull that off, get enough cars and people. the police there only to race. that would be pricless.

 

We could totally do that with enough people. Like something straight out of a fast and furious movie. I wonder if that many people would make it impossible for police to ticket anyone, or if it would just wind up with a huge amount of people losing their licenses and getting huge tickets.

ya i was there for about an hour and a half. i had to wait in line for about 15 minutes before i could pay the girl and then i had to park on the other side of the oval. i overheard some guys there say there was over a 1000 people that showed up.
