hahaha well Mark, I would use that as an excuse but I have never did anything of that nature in my car! If I needed to as a last minute resort I would but I usually prefer a bed or a couch! lol

I'm replying here because I don't want to derail the other thread (I subscribed to it to see what was going on since I have had my stage one sitting on my desk at home for a while);

we have drastically different air intakes - my car uses an air filter that sits in the airbox similar to how a late J-body air filter is;
Just to further clarify, "drop in K&N" refers to a K&N replacement filter, 'dropped into' with the original airbox.

soundjunky ya i understand what a drop in is but to the best of my knowledge i dont understand how water would get into it and make the maf wet. if that is the issue in the first place. usually factory air boxes are built fairly tight. yes i am very familiar with the j body air box and it was never a issue for moisture however heat was another story.
