So we all know the TC girl that I bring around sometimes, well she just said the most stupidest thing to me,
we are talking about her getting winter tires, and that she can go down to 17" rims and she says
" but I dont know where to get tires for that size of rims"

wow... that's a gooder.

is she seriously driving around with her stock conti's in this weather??

I don't know her, and so far she has seemed a bit of a snob, but I would never wish anyone to be driving on the Continental Sport Contacts in this weather...

yikes - not a good place to be in.

edit:

Just got a thought;
maybe she's looking to get out of her loan by writing off the car? - because this would be a good way of getting the car written off.

meh, IMHO, looks are entirely over rated...

I mean, at least as long as you don't need to hang a t-bone around a persons neck for the dogs to play with them

...

ok, changing the subject a little...

I REALLY dodged the bullet... err, a couple bullets today.
  • I got a photo radar ticket in Lethbridge from the last time I drove down to Montana;
  • I was a little too poor to pay the ticket much in advance... (or would you prefer financially extended )
  • I neglected to phone them last week to ensure someone there knew that payment was coming...
  • Did I mention the court date was this morning @ 9:30am??
  • I remembered while out during lunch today that I had neither contacted anyone in Lethbridge, or transferred money into my chequing account to cover the payment... (whoops!!)
  • I quickly transfered $$, and then followed up with a phone call just now...
  • they received payment, and were going to be processing it!

talk about cutting it close!

So like the security just locks you out of your car? or just prevents you from starting it?

the theft system wiring rubs through and shorts out on the brackets in the dash. happened once a few weeks ago and then thought everything was good but then it did it again today. unfortuneatly for me i had taken all my tools and extra fuses out of my car. kept blowing fuses and won't let you start the car or even attempt to start it

when you go to start it it won't do anything other then turn the radio on. and your theft light on the dash will light up.

weel since you have pull at that dealer, and have a good story to go with how you fixed it last time is there any chance they will take it to do under warranty?

I\d think that unless they can prove you did something to cause this, that this should be covered under the warranty...
iirc there's more or less two types of warranty;
one that's done @ 60k km's, that has to do with it being a new car, like mechanical faults or what not - then there's the other one (160k km's??) that has to do with the car in a manner that I believe this would fall under... since this is as a result of GM's construction of hta car, and nothing to do with owner use or abuse...

dude, this sucks.

I hope you get it figured out.
