well, by the sounds of it I'll be heading up there after new years. My uncle is setting me up with a job at his company and I'll be living with my cousin. Excited to meet you all!

I also have a cousin who a little over a year ago got into the accounting field;

^^ ya ive been looking everywhere. I have a finance degree which sets me up to work in a bank... But the majority of jobs that a bank will hire a new grad for is a trainee position for a managment position (account management trainee, small business management trainee). And those jobs start out in the smallest banks in the smallest of hick towns lol. And usually those positions only come up in summer... So right now they are kind of sparse. Unless i cave and get a shitty customer service job that pays me $10/hour lol

side note:
picked up a GMPP performance exhaust today... kinda tempted to sell it. any offers??? i can deliver anywhere around edmonton or between edmonton and Lethbridge on a day im travelling between the 2 cities... its the performance version. I'm thinking 400 if im delivering lol

Why sell it? If it fits a 2.4 and doesn't sound ricey I'll consider it.

G6 GTP wheels need 5 mm to clear the Brembos so I would guess that these do as well.

it was designed for either the LE5 or the LSJ;
since both engines use the same connector flange at the exhaust there...
I've never really paid attention to them, but have seen one car with it (a local who sold it this past summer)...
I understand it's a really nice exhaust.

Most of the YouTube videos are of the exhaust on an LSJ. But the ones I did see for the 2.4 don't sound that bad, just not sure I could justify the expense at this point.

yup that's the one I referred to - the bowtie on the tip was a give away ~ I asked him, and he confirmed it as being the GMPP exhaust...

congrats!

does that mean you're going to demod the car now... and save the parts for later?

as in:
  • put the stock exhaust back on
  • put stock headlights back on
  • find a black/lowrise trunk to swap on (or just the spoiler)
  • maybe pull out all your underglow

I'd wager a clean stock appearing car will get top dollar - plus that lets you swap all the stuff on a new car...

if you need ANY help, give me a call.

so I've spent the last couple evenings playing the Xbox360 that crazynewf sold me, and didn't realize, that if you look you can get these at a screaming deal...

for example: XBOX 360 - Calgary Video Games for Sale - Kijiji Calgary Canada.

wow...

I was on there looking for a wireless adapter...
my brother updated this xbox (there were many to do, it appeared to have not been used since 2007!), and I have a 30 free trial period with xbox live and since I don't want ot get & run twenty feet of cat 5 cable... that tapping into my own wireless network might be the way to go...

yeah! ~ Mark speaks!!

Nothing "happened"

I mentioned in this very thread a while ago about interest in an xbox360, and CrazyNewf offered his at an awesome deal - so I bought it.

I might be pretty broke at the moment, but at least I have a cheap way to bide my time

I'm borrowing some games from my brother, and the system even came with some games...

for the last two nights I have been playing Fable 2... I gotta say with all these stupid sub menu's - this is alot more complicated that games for the good old NES...

These right here are probably my favorite two games ever...

(bonus points for getting them right!)

I bought my car at Shaw GMC this fall. As a result I get a monthly newsletter from the dealership. Decembers issue is regarding a Driver Safety training course they are offering in partnership with Allen Berg Racing Schools. I'm interested in this. They're offering it from late December to late February. You can book individually or in groups. I think the group option would be fun and we should try to do this. Of course there's a money component, the course is 300$.

Have any of you taken such a course? And secondly, would any of you be interested in taking it?

J

I personally wouldn't.
In my world $300 is best suited to a plethora of better things... like bills for example.

I don't do loud music mornings, but the afternoons are a whole different thing;
I've rotating between Alice in Chains and Jamiroquai over here... with some Maiden and Soundgarden mixed in for good measure...
