its hard not to be too close to people on the deerfoot. if u leave the proper amount of room people just merge in and cut you off. then you have to slow down to create a decent following distance from the new guy infront of you. and because you had to slow down the people behind you are now tailgating u... you just cant win.

you can still do it, because i do it. yes its hard but paying attention to the road and what's going on around you is the other half of the battle. and for the record i'm no saint and yes i have had accidents before (not in the cobalt) and i did learn from what happened and my driving habits did change from the experience. thats all i'm getting at

and the guy behind you, is riding you like a boney-pony, then some tool cut's infront of you...
you guys really need to lay off on trying to "help" Kris, you're really only rubbing salt in an open wound at this time.
afterall and accident is called accident for a reason...

my personal pet peeve is that you leave a "safe" distance between you and the car infront of you;

Ya i see u were giving your opinion but it can be tpugh when you type stuff it can come out differently but i do see your point steve but now that is ben said we move on lol
did you look at the cars I linked??
are you going to have to wait for a while or what?
I figured that if you don't have all the money right now a dealer might be a good option since you could put money down, and finish off the remainder with some sort of structured payment plan...
what ever the case, let me know what you're looking for so I can help you look
(looking for cars is fun!)

ya i am going to be buying a beater or something to drivr around until i can find a black SS/SC with decent miles that way i can find the one i really want and it has to be a good price too lol
^^ well if you are looking for something really cheap, our market is flooded with j-bodies, and parts are cheap for them right now.
I'd recommend looking for a 2.4L Sunfire GT or Cavalier Z24, they have 30-40hp more than the 2200 cars, and considering I don't expect you to do anything to it, I'd opt for the higher powered car to begin with...
also the 2000+ Sunfires/Cavaliers with the 2.4L use the exact same transmission that Graham/Steve have in their cars...
generally speaking;
I'd wager you'll be saving money on insurance too... I can help you look if you want!

generally speaking;
- the more common the car is on the secondary market
- the older the car is (12 years seems to be about where cars value's bottom out btw)

oh??
I thought everyone except for me has a web-ready cell phone that they use to check emails?

I in turn hate PM's here, because I blink, and I'm full again.

Anyway... questions still stand;
if you want I can call you..
and yes, I'm game for meeting up

And oh yeah... guess who got offered to be admin on another site!?
