Calgary - random talk thread
I've said my point though, it's dropped.
on the last point - man it's no pressure, I don't want to ever come off as being like "hey guys! - spend money here!"
I know that I'd eventually have a tuned ECM, I even emailed a shop out of province about this (they showed good numbers from another CSS member's tune) - but since they never replied, I gave up on them, and just decided I'd like to deal with someone locally rather than someone visiting from out of province... and if I can help any of you in the mean time great, the extra money I spent to become a dealer was worth it then.
interesting...
My friend back home is a cop and he told me that tint was basically and "*******" check. So my theory is when getting pulled over make it as easy as possible on the cop and do the whole yes sir no sir deal. I even called my self "not very smart" once and imagine that there was an error on the ticket and it gets thrown out. That being said I do know CPS and police in general out here are much stricter about tint then they are in Southern Ontario. We do after all drive cop magnets I just choose my time and place for spirited driving wisely. Just my 2 cents though.

I was talking to the driver this morning when I got my ride to work.. he even agreed (older guy) tat caps seem to go out of their way to be rude these days...
I personally think the whole quota system (which supposedly ties into the officers eligibility for raises) and the whole hiring quota have both done a major dis-service to CPS, and any police service in general...
There used to be a time that they would be polite, and respectable, but these days with the attitude and the whole thing of foregners, or "racial minorities" over hiring the best person for the job, is totally BS.
they officially denied this for years, then a couple years ago the (interm?) head of the CPS, admitted that there is a quota - that's where I seem to recall the deal of it tieing into their eligibility for raises...
you'll also notice the older cops tend to be more lenient with alot of things, its the younger ones that are usually dicks. all the one's i've gotten out of were older cops.
thats not really the fault of the cop tho, if you stupid enough to do an illegal turn when you know there's a cop presence then your asking to get a ticket.
