Looks like I botched the axle install. I fixed my intercooler pump so I decided to go for a spin to see low iat2s lol. Punched the gas and boom and now it won't move. I'd say it's for sure the axle popped out as it probably wasn't seated correctly but now its extra squeaky when u try to move the car.... Ugh I never should have touched it lol

How could it pop out..

Did you push it all the way in? Did you check for a broken axle yet?

Yep. Axle was not broken. But when u twist it it's really squeaky. I'm just praying it's not a tranny issue

The car would still go in gears but it would squeal like a bitch. Same with pushing it. It would squeak. Leads me to think trans is fine since it was in neutral while I was pushing it

Does it do it with the clutch pushed in? In Neutral the input shafts still spin with it in neutral I believe.

Vid?

Clutch in I think it still made horrible noise. Cus it would do it when I started the car up.

weird...

are you sure it's from the transmission side?

I believe those use a small clip to retain the axle in place - otherwise it's purely space constraints and the nut on the opposite end of the axle holding it into the hub which keeps everything hunky-dory...

if you need me to bomb up there just give me a call...

you have to make sure it clicks in, the drivers side can be decieving and make it look like it goes in, i find putting a dab of grease on the retainer to hold it centralized works and then rotate while pushing until you see it go in all the way, it can feel but by looking at it you can tell its still out an inch. let us know and take a pic, i will be able to tell you right away if its not in far enough

Yesterday I saw a sexy balt on Stoney trail heading north- then eastbound and exiting on Harvest Hills blvd which happened to be my exit as well. I had after he passed me and I'm sure I read S L O B A L T on the trunk lid. I spotted a cobaltss.net decal as well. Anyways, nice ride!
