It is really up to you bro. I broke so I should be paying for it. If you get the part then that is fine, but if you have to get the whole assembly then that is fine as well.

Let's just do this...Could be risky but what the hey, You one live once. We go to the dealer late at night all decked out in black. jimmy a Ion take said broken shift linkage and swap it out for one in neww Ion. When they go to test drive new Ion they will just assume the shifter is broke and have it repaired and you are back up and running....haha j/k!!!

I think it's more like theft.... He used to have an electric gas pump in his trunk and suck gas out of the school bus that parked down the road from him too. Funny guy.

Still ran was just knocking. Did the swap in his garage. They never even questioned him.He had the car for like 3 -4hrs him and a buddy did the swap and drove the car back said it started making a weird noise. This was a couple years back I don't know if you could get away with it today.
