Wow.. Seems like I came back to canada at a bad time.. My best go to jonathon and jordan, it's always hard losing someone or something close to you..

On a better note, trip down south was a great success, cobalt ran great even though she had an extra 6-700 lbs of luggage to carry, as well as two adults on top of that lol hope I haven't missed too much

even in my youth I saw the foolishness of this - I mean storing the tires alone takes up no more room than s0otring a set of wheels c/w tires...

it all comes down to what you ant to do;
if you have one set of tires for year round - then there's absolutely no need for a second set of wheels.
I can afford it (well kinda) so I have a summer set, and a dedicated winter set.

In my defense I used to have a complete set of smoke tint LSJ wheels... but I sold them last year when I bought the LNF winter rims ~ to a kid from red deer who bent one or two of his...

EDIT:

there's a better deal to be had on there right now...
there's also two LNF wheels for $800.
Agreed, I have my set of LNF wheels for winters, my Dip D95s for Summer and i'm looking at another set of ultra high performance tires (powedercoated mirror black LNF wheels) for when it's dry and sunny out which is when I can clown around.

Heh, those four are in New West.. that's close to me I think I might of found my rims to powdercoat mirror black.

Set of 4 Cobalt SS Turbocharge Wheels NO TIRES - Vancouver Tires, Rims For Sale - Kijiji Vancouver Canada.
if they're minty that's not a bad price...
on the high side of things, but still not too bad...

IMHO being able to pick up, and not have to drive long distances to do the pick up is worth something right there...

I have other links where you can buy new (take-offs?) for $250usd/ea (+ shipping)...

if they did a Grand Am hub swap on the GM Performance division racing Cobalts, I'm sure you could do the reverse;
a Cobalt hub swap onto an older car...

but why?

So if anybody does a header swap don't call me! Lol jk

The manifold bolts were a bitch but I got them. Only stripped 1, the downpipe was the easiest thing. Now my whole exhaust is out from under my car because the exhaust shop that did my BOLT on catback, tack welded the band clamps and the had to be ground off. And I haven't even got the longtube close to the motor yet and it's been 6 hours since I started

if it was easy;
would it not be wrong to call it work?

Having struggled with getting a long tube header in place... I can identify...

do you have to remove any engine mounts to tilt the engine, and still fight to get the header in?
becasue I did (and I still think it hangs too low)

Ugh I remember doing my header downpipe install. It took me like 5 hours. I couldn't get the one o2 sensor off. First time being under my car doing something other than an oil change. Almost lost my mind dealing with claustrophobia. By far the most stressful thing I've ever done in my life. Not necessarily the hardest. But ughhhhh...

took me around 2 for my full exhaust, only took that long because i couldn't get a socket on a few of the nuts so i had to do them a 1/8th turn at a time.

Well had to take the valve cover off and the header fell right down. Getting it on was not a problem. Had to order a new manifold stud as they ordered the wrong one!!! Gm employees at it's finest. Just gotta install the stud then fire her up and see how it sounds! Lol

Sorry to hear bro, the feeling will get better.

This damn car is pissing me off .

I found one that was (mostly) stock. Remind me to never buy a car that has a single mod done again haha. Now the EVAP valve had a broken nipple that was glued on and broke again and I had a boost leak of champions. So many boost leaks, no wonder I was pulling only -12 HG at idle. I just want to drive this thing...

that sir is exactly why unmolested cars typically have a higher resale...

and one of the factors that put me over the edge of buying my car was not having to worry about the car's past... because I would be writing it

I hear that.

I try to maintain my cars and not cut corners (for example, the couple gauges that were in the car I literally ripped out because I accidentally moved a wire to find it exposed and it sparked against my car.
