ok, just checking - there's a fine line between teasing someone with an angle... and being a dink for no reason.
how's it going?
game go off without any issues?
I'm going to bed... ttyl.

haha. this one kid kept beaking my team the whole game. and at one point he asked me to fight. so i said sure lets go. he skated away so i called him a ***** and stuff like that. then later he did teh same thing to my teammate. at the end of the game my teammate hit this kid pretty hard into the boards and the kid grabbed my buddies helmet and twisted his head around. my buddy then punched the kid in the head, his helmet popped off and right as my friend took his glove off for a free hit and the kid face, the kid fell over and then everyone joined in on the fight. so the kid that wanted to fight the whole game got his **** kicked haha
"wait just a minute...
I was in no way trying to tease you for your car, or your SC tuner - I was only trying (just like above) to make sense of Steve's logic...
I know why you bought that - and that it was available long before the GMS1 was offered for the CSS - were I in your situation, I would have probably done the same;
I mean you had your car for what, nearly two years before i bought mine?
I don't know that you would need a Trifecta tune - I mean you're happy with your SC tuner, and if it legitimately makes 300+hp, then the limits the stock tune has which virtually negate benefits of aftermarket bolt on's should be removed (which is one of the real plus's with even the GMS1)..."
First off, im a big boy i can take some teasing with the best of em, however i didnt take it that way at all.
I was just trying to throw all the info about it as i could, out there. I got my SC tuner for under 200, i wasnt even going to go that route, but price was right and the tune was fun
Now with the other stuff available for TC i would consider different options.
I think its safe to say we all have love for our rides thats what counts

[QUOTE=soundjunky;6147744]ok, forget for a second that I'm a dealer, and let me get this right;
you would rather spend $300 on a device that gives you a canned tune - rather than something written specifically for your car...
You would rather not get a tune made specifically for your car because in the future when you make changes, you don't want ot have to wait for a possible free update on your tune??
Steve - that doesn't make sense...
QUOTE]
ya i just like to be able to make my own changes.....nothing against vince and trifecta.
and sc was an option, never said it was a "omg im getting a superchip tune" kinda option lol

you sir, found it.
@ Steve - what ever your car has right now, replace it with a comparable item - your car sounds great as is...
recap: don't change your car.
after a paltry five days, I got my first SES... P0420
*DELETE*
been contemplating on giving Vince an email
...but the plan has been to wait till spring.

I picked up a second pair of replacement winter treads today...

that was one of them...
but if someone really wanted to know, it's not like I was really secretive or anything...
I mean it's not like I'm pulling a covert-struttin
I didn't post it here, but I posted about them elsewhere...
Speaking of which;
Struttin - I didn't even know you were GMS1 till you posted something 'as a matter of factly' about it much later ~ when did you get it installed? ~ did you only pay to have the reflash - or did you have a dealer do the splicing ect also?
I've been watching the ZZP efr threads for a while - that kind of mod is absolutely up my alley;
it's 100% bolt on - and it's 100% invisible;
GMS1 is not invisible, but you have to know what you're looking at...
I'm also interested in the ZZP cams - but I have no such plans for time being, I really have to sell one or two cars, and either rebuild, or take apart this other Cobalt... then I'd have everything to a manageable level of chaos...

Hahahaha! This made me laugh.
Oh? I thought I told you this when I met you at your house. My mods when I was in Calgary last was GMS1 and K&N intake. I got it installed at the dealer because I didn't want to mess around with the wire splicing. I've had it installed for awhile now, can't remember when. I still remember pulling out of the dealer and going "Holly crap where'd all that boost come from".

I got very used to the feel of being 100% stock...
Then it made me really notice where the GMS1 keeps pulling... and pulling...
the 2nd mod made it even more pronounced.
When I was going to do the install last year (after allowing some time for the car to break in, and expose any possible bugs/defects with my car), there were a TON of people citing issues with GMS1;
So I decided to wait it out till the root cause of all the issues was found ~ 90% of which were becasue of a less than ideal connection on the lower charge pipe MAP sensor...
then this year when I was (again) goign to do the install, I was looking into creating my own plug & play pigtails - shortly after which I found that CED was makign them...
So I waited it out, and got purchased them from CED...
Then Canada Post crapped the bed - it took a full month, instead of hte quoted 6-10 business days for me to get them...
Which really did suck, because I had hoped to bring the car to Race City before it closed... which is did very quietly at the end of October.
Now if I want to race, the best/closest option is Castrol just south of Edmonton.
That sucks... but oh well.

It's when your get caught up in the rush of things that you more often get burnt.
like the tires I picked up today;
Retail probably easily >$700 for the pair, but I paid <$200 for the pair...
I think my first pair, which I bought quite a while back was even cheaper than this one...
