THIS TRIP MAY HAVE SEEN A UNFORTUNATE END BEFORE IT GOT STARTED.... for those who havent seen in the calgary random thread, my car was involved in a serious accident( which wasnt my fault)... now i am waiting to find out its future,,,,, i will inform you what the future plans of this trip as soon as i know the plans with my car.... unless someone else takes over responsiblity of planning or my car gets fixed the future of this trip looks bleak.... i will keep you all informed about the future and i should have some answers for you this week....

As posted in the Calgary thread, I'm quite bummed to have read this;
but for those who still have cars in tact - I'm still game for making this happen...
Heck, Mark, you're more than welcome to ride shotgun with me...

I would love to come out to this unfortunately I work may 11-17, is everyone busy the week before? A good cruise through the mountains sounds amazing right now.

jrmotosports 88 - sad to hear about your incident, I hope everything works out for you.

Also we can throw anything we need into the box of the truck, and I'll have room for a passenger. If you guys still want to make this happen on May 15th ill try my best to workout a shift trade at work.

Matt

6 months of being unemployed has lowered my standards significantly i have a university degree in finance and u would think with all the banks opening in edmonton and calgary they would be hiring like crazy... nope FML

if i had the same amount of industry related experience as u do i would pobably demand to be in a non **** hole place too lol

Yup. 99% of companies will get you certified with safety courses and if you want further training on specific areas of the job I'm sure they wouldn't mind sending you

who ever told you that shoulda maybe check if there not addicted to crack lol

i wouldnt risk my job for a measly failed drug test, and tbh the guys that are addicted to heroin were already doing it to begin with,

just b/c 10% of the oilfield gets addiected doesnt mean they all do :p

I have no interest in working on the rigs even tho I'll make a **** ton more than I'll make with my degree. Working outside with my hands does not play into my skillset. It would also make the past 4 years of my life a complete waste lol. Let me have a desk, a tie and a cute receptionist to hit on during breaks and i have my dream job.
