Dexos is a semi-synthetic motor oil used in all 2011 and newer GM vehicles...

Mobile 1 is full synthetic so you would be essentially downgrading your oil

If it helps, mobil 1 is dexos approved.
Check the Mobile 1 Site

It's a way better oil than any other oil out there, half the price of full synthetic. Sludge, break down. Mobil1 was at first the only full synthetic that could compare to Dexos at the start, now they are labeled as an alternative.

Can Tire is having a sale on their Mobil 1 4.4L jugs for $36 or something, plus you get a bonus 1L bottle free. And like the other guys said, stick with a dexos1 approved oil just in case there's ever a problem. I find it odd how no Amsoil products are on that list, yet I walk into the local dealership service department yesterday and they're promoting the Amsoil XL 5W-30 right in the service bay.
