Yes the dollar is close. But car and truck prices aren't changed on a daily basis because of the constantly fluctuating dollar.

I was wondering when you'd post pics!

Now I see why you paid so much. It wasn't just the truck.

I got to drive a Duramax for the first time the other day. Friend had a hand held power-programmer and put in a 60hp program (over 100lbs ft increaes) and man was I impressed!!

Effortless thrust! Loaded up with a trailer he says he can't even tell its there.

So what transmission does the Dodge have?

I guess you didnt take into factor the......

$5000 negative equity from trading in Cobalt.
$2800 for extended warranty (5 year/ 160,000 km)
$2000 for Life and Disability Insurance.

AND>>>>>>>>>>>

the 4 inch full suspension lift kit. The 35 inch Pro Comp Tires. The painted to match bushwhacker fender flares. The side step bars, and mud flaps...

those things arent cheap... and they are all included in the price.

Yeah I am looking at some programmers for the truck. I am gonna go to a shop where i can get a free 24 hr test with one.

Chevypowered.....

I liked my cobalt... but i need the truck for work.

I went with dodge becuase I get fleet pricing through my company.
Plus the service at dodge, IMO is 100 times better than any GM dealership around here.

not to mention you can't just go get a truck in the US and drive it across.

It has to be imported--lots of taxes must be paid and minimal work done. And you'll lose the warranty.

So Cody---WHAT TRANSMSSION DOES IT HAVE? (4sped auto??)

Yeah I went with the Auto.

I drove the 5 speed standard... and it isnt as fast as the auto. The auto shifts faster. Duh... its a truck.

Also... with my job... I am talking on the phone 75% of the time i am driving... and trying to write stuff down... and that makes it pretty difficult to drive a standard.

Set me straight Cody.

5 speed auto or 4 speed auto?

At least you didn't get a Ford!

I didn't realize that dodge actually had the CDN and US prices line up. Right now you can save $20G's on some cars by buying them in the states, your truck is almost dead on to the exchange rate.

Not all manufacturers drop warranty. Right now you can get an STI for over $10,000 cheaper buy buying it in the states. Thats WITH all the duty. And your warranty is still good.
