I don't know why you would want it set up any other way...

i wouldnt...lol. Just finished talking to a vendor, he is trying to locate me some 1 step colder plugs. Really hard to find for the 370z but he thinks he might have got me some. Also on the 15th im putting a down deposit for a new body kit. Kit includes front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, hood, wing and fenders....this kit here...

Ok, I forgot about the purge. I never use one, I dunno.

I still like the manual control, makes me feel better.

i agree on that. I wanted to be going WOT with the hp of the engine then spray it and feel the power it gives but this is safer...even though im taking the risk, i dont feel like blowing my engine up so im using all the safety devices.

You can always add a manual switch into the system, so you have to be WOT, and within the rpm window, and have the button pushed on your end, for it to work. So if you accidentally push the button, no harm done, but it doesn't just spray on the WOT/window switch.

I'm pretty sure nitrous doesn't have any special requirements... as long as you're over 12 seconds (I believe) you don't need to get your safety gear on; roll cage and whatnot.

Here's some info:

THIS IS THE 2008 version. Could not find the 2010 revised. http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/sport...C_Rulebook.pdf

Thanks chad. I would have to have long tube headers, exhaust, lightweight crank pulley + 150shot to get below 12's so i should be safe..lol. But that was something i was wondering was different rules

Yea i got the blowdown tube and no offence but i wouldnt buy a second hand nitrous kit, you never know if something could be wrong with it. When it comes to serious mods for my car i want brand new parts.

I'm pretty sure any aftermarket power added requires a fire jacket regardless of the ET.

I found it...

Section 1-A, located on page 24 of the 2006 NHRA Rulebook read as follows:
10.00 (*6.40 1/8 mile) and slower; all E.T. non-OEM supercharged, non-OEM turbocharged, or nitrous-equipped cars with an OEM or .024-inch steel firewall: Jacket meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/1 mandatory

thanks slowstang, ill just give castrol a call when the season approaches to make sure. My buddy has a aftermarket turbo set up and iffy nitrous setup on his prelude...only thing they told him to do for tech and everything was to strap his battery down.
