You voided your warrenty in order to get where you are, I didn't.
Welcome back!

what about your header and dp... you know gm will use every excuse in the book to not take the blame on a warranty claim.

look guys, Im not trying to make any enemies here. I like all you guys and want us to be friends otherwise it's just awkward. So please don't take things so seriously. Im all for healthy discussion and arguments, but lets try not let that get in the way of being cool.

haha Rob that would make sense BUT everything i have done to my car i have talked to GM about it and funny thing is is that i work with the service managers wife and have for the past 5 years. I go to BBQ at their house so pretty sure he isnt making excuses to not fix my car. There wasa scratch on my roof and he actually blamed it on his service men so GM would pay to fix it so as far as I go I think im okay. Besides that, just like I said if one of Rob cylinders goes then it isnt warentied just like I said. Rob im sorry to everyone else who is bitching and such but dude i agree with you. You nor do I want to helling at each other and **** like that. So lets try and get alone and not all be dick!!!!

the 14.9 was on opening night, my first night at the track ever...

Im sure if I could do it all over again right now on a good night the car would be even faster.

to spell this out in idiot proof (an0malous) english....
my car is 50kg lighter than jordans on the DOT scale, both are roughly 1400kg, therefore no power-weight advantage is involved. i dont know what a stock cobalt runs for whp so we'll use crank hp to compare.

rob ran 14.9 @ 100.4 stock (205hp & ~200lb-ft)
mazdaspeed3 runs ???? @ ???? stock (263hp & 280lb-ft)

now is rob the most amazing driver to ever touch a cobalt, and can somehow bend the rules of physics to make his car faster? i think not. therefore a car with a 58hp/80lb-ft advantage should be faster. still with me? now how do you figure that i need proof that my car can run 14's?

therefore.... any speed3 should be able to run mid-low 14s with an average driver.

how does that prove your point? what was your point?
my point is that a speed3 does not need a timeslip to prove that it can run better than a 14.9, simple logic shows that.

and now the great cobalt god an0malous will come up with more reasons why a speed3 cant possibly break 14.9

Hey Boys,

been away for a while, but no worries, still have the Balt. Question for you.... since the hail storm last week pounded the **** out of my two vehicles and my camper, i am now in the market for a nice "Extractor" type hood. Anyone have any other suggestions than the RKSport one? Where can you get this stuff in Red Deer or Alberta in general?

BTW, i saw a really smashed up orange ss/sc on a flatbed truck today headed south on the #2, anyone on here? Front & back..... looked like an accordian with doors. Too bad....

Kev.

the 205 is whp... people have dyno'd anywhere from 205-220 stock... with these cars. If you don'tt believe me do a 5min search on this site. With that in mind, factoring in a 15% drive train loss that gives you a hp advantage of 15-20 ish. So there for its almost a drivers race. So you may be right in saying that you'll be in the 14s, but low 14s is HIGHLY optomistic to be completely honest.

Keeping all this in mind, our original arguement was that I would beat you in a race, my car as it is now vs. your car stock.

/arguement.

you pretty much need to order online. It would be too expensive locally if you could find it.

dude I SAW that wreck just minutes after it happened with the orange cobalt. He's not on the site. He ran into the back of a flatbed trailer (hwy9 truck) and a pick-up smashed into him.

Yeah, i checked with a place here in red deer on a functional ram air hood and they wanted $1300. Damn ripoff. RKSport wants $595 for the Extractor Hood.....not bad price, but the shipping might be a killer. Are there any other reputable companies out there in the states that you have heard of? Just looking for any other options right now....

yeah just buy one online, im not sure who else sells a good one. do a search on here. you'll find one. Even with shipping you'll still come out cheaper buying online.

or buy steves hood... its reallynice, he's in edmonton.
