just checked out the aem website for a cold air intake, and they have one. BUT would cost $45 to ship to canada, plus duty, plus extra handeling b/c I live in Nova Scotia, plus all the canadian taxes. I'm looking at over $300 bucks for a $180 dollar intake. I'll just go aggravate my local parts guy to finally carry some **** for my car.

As i said earlier, the only way to waive brokerage charges is to go pick it up yourself at the border and bring it across. If you need a few things, it can pay for itself in fuel, but generally the brokers will wring your wallet dry. Believe me, they won't feel bad about it either. later....

one thing ive learned.....always try and see if you can get it locally before you bring it across the border.
for example....Mopac sells the AEM wideband for $315.
i paid $331 total with tax.
but zomg....there are places sellin them for $270US in the states!!!!
by the time you add shipping and currency conversion, your at about 300 canadian.
ok...still not bad you say....
border fees is gonna sit you at almost the exact price you pay from the store......
but you had to wait for it....your warranty is now in the US if anything goes wrong....
this was also one of the reasons i was convinced on buying the K&N Typhoon (among others)......i picked it up from my local partsource.

You know................I bought stage 2, GMPP manifold and a GMPP performance cat-back from CED for about $1200. I paid about $150.00CAD for duty on all of it. I was quoted almost $1300.00CAD for just the stage 2 here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.!!!!!! This saved me hundreds of dollars. I just don't see what you are bitchin' about??????
