Weight Reduction-How Much does that weigh?!

For all the track guys who may want to do some weight reduction for some better times.


Here is a general list of Interior and Exterior Parts that are easily (or not so easily) removable, and how much they weigh.

Owners Manual- 0.7lbs

Cobalt SS
Interior
-Front passenger seat 42lbs
-Rear seats 25lbs (all three pieces)
-Spare Tire
-Stock Subwoofer
-Trunk liner
-Door Panels

Exterior
-Hood 42lbs
-Trunk




Please post other parts and or weight of parts!!!

i know parts between the two cars are VERY similar, but just incase there is a difference

for the seats, i weighed them on an industrial scale at my work. if im not feeling lazy, ill weigh a few more things.

lol, when it comes to racing, we all wish we weighed 80lbs! I'm 220... lol

this will come in handy next time i go to the track. Only thing i took out was the spare tire but i have aftermarket subs in the back which are heavy as hell.

4lbs off and gives you 10hp...11hp if u get the glue off as well.
