Canada Car progress?

How is everyone making out progress wise, on modding the Balt over the winter?

I had ordered my synapse intercooler and installed
it but it wasn't fitting right, so Morgan from synapse sent me out a new one without any questions asked. He is even paying shipping both ways. The new one arrived and my grandparents house yesturday so I have to try the new
intercooler to see if it fits better.

Next up, I ordered my 3" stainless catback with res delete from clearimage auto. It should be here in a couple weeks.

I recieved a twm sts with base bushings from the gf for Christmas. It is all installed and it's like day and night.

I decided to sell my second ecu, since I haven't really been using it. I will probably go with the gm stage 1 kit till after warrenty is almost up, the hp tune over top of the kit.

haven't driven it with the kit yet its in storage til spring .. but it's ready to get the flash i only have 12k on my car so it's worth it... if you don't care about warranty then go with something else ... like i said i want to keep the car relatively stock... not doing anything aftermarket... i think it'd be a neat car to show people years from now at car shows if i keep it factory and in good shape... the SS sedans are more rare than people think i can tell ya im sure the kit will put a smile on my face.. i've already shocked many other cars in races just with stock setup... like melissa said i live in windsor near ski martoc. i have yet to take my car to a cruise night or meet yet. looking forward to it this year.

I'm going to be getting a trifecta tune and buying a muffler for my custom exhaust. I already have intake, header, and downpipe.

Well, I'm not sure when/ what tune I'm going with, or if I'm even going a tune right now. Tons of people have been cracking pistons and rings with the trifecta tune, there is no one around that's reputable tune with hp tuners. So all that leaves me for options is the gm stage 1 kit.

are you still thinking about getting Trifecta Jerren? being a tuner, that is.

Damien - how's the HID kit for your car? easy to install? i burnt an H7 bulb for the second time in a month, kinda getting tired of forking over 40-50$ for a pair of H7 bulbs. I am considering HIDs now

After what I have been reading lately I don't think so. There has been 5 people that have posted with cracked pistons or piston rings caused by too much fuel into the combustion chamber. All the research has turned me away from trifecta. My other option is to buy hp tuners and get a base tune to work off of from a guy named Terminator2.

i hear terminator does great tunes! but ya gms1 was my bet... keep it factory... keep it warrantied and still be quick enough. want more power? mod it some more... but tuning is dangerous if not done correctly... i'll stick with this not even sure ill do a downpipe or cat/muffler delete... i like the sound already... doesn't attract too much attention from the fuzz and noone suspects a thing in a race until they see my tails in the distance sure i may not be as fast as some of the custom tuned guys but in the end i'd rather be decently quick ALL of the time then marginaly faster if and when the car is running correctly MOST of the time.

well so far i ordered and received the following parts:

ZZP S3 H/E
ZZP Downpipe with Cat (To replace the busted one)
LEDGLOW Kit exterior and interior LED (Yeah I Know, but its been since the age of 14 i've been saying when i get my own car i'm getting Underglow)

so the plan now is to get the following parts:

Meth Kit (DevilsOwn i believe)
60 Injectors
Tune (not sure who yet , Either JD Racing or Something)
new GEN4 Projectors with HID (They don't have LED or HALO)
Smoke LED Tail Lights
CF Highrise Center Section and EndCap

so i'm hoping to get all this done by april and if i have money left get a new paint job

Not sure about NB...think u can have everything but in NS you cant have blue underglow while driving and you cant have red in the front while driving, anything else you can have. But if you get into a accident with someone while u had the lights on its automatically your fault if they say "the lights on his car distracted me" whether or not is bs. Those are the rules i was told when i had underglow on my car.

Where did you get your GMS1 kit from? What dealer around? If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it?

ordered it online from crateenginedepot.com all in taxes and all it was roughly $630 $550 for kit and $80 tax iirc. O'reagans in halifax is going to flash it come spring... they wanted $925 for the kit and $225 for install. i suggest going with CED .. Tom was great.

Yea i was looking at it on CED, and it really is quite a bit cheaper when you look at it. They're doing the install for you? I'll have to call them and see what they'd charge for install.

Unless u dont care about the full warrenty thing *thinking u do since u want the GM kit* If you orderd it from a place other then the dealership, it still counts as aftermarket part, therefor any issues that are caused by the kit, warrenty is voided. Same thing if u install it yourself.

Not sure if u knew that or even care but its FYI. I dont know much about the SS/TC but how much power gain should u get?
