It's 35% on back windows whether you want to believe it or not. You are less likely to get a ticket for a lower percentage of tint (on the back windows) because they would have to prove with a reflectivity meter, and they are not always in every cruiser.

Where did u go then?I called two different places here in hfx and the lowest they would go on the front is 50% because of the black leather interior the back they said theycan do as low as u want and these are people that have been doing it for years and know the % rate and what would be ok

I don't have tint at all actually, and I didn't get my information from a shop trying to sell me a product, I got it from HRM police.

I'm just trying to give you the right info, you can go as low as you want on all your windows if you wanted, but you will likely see a ticket. And I know a lot of people that have tint well below the 35% on the back and have never had a problem, but if the officer wants to be a pain in your ass and their cruiser has a reflectivity meter they can ticket you for illegal tint.

These are people that might be doing it for years, but any tint up front can get you a ticket and below 35% in the back can get you a ticket here in NS.

Now lets get this back on topic for the OP.

I paid 130.00 for all windows what ever % you want lifetime warranty, even if the glass gets broke they fix it, or if you scratch it while cleaning them they replace it pro tint was were i went, and i know ther are all over the U.S.

Meh, tint here costs no more than $200 at any place.

<--- look at my location

But yes, Americans saying "omg you paid too much" in every Canadian thread is one of the more annoying things on this website. GTFO, or learn to read.

yeah here is what you should be expected to be paying for tints with a lifetiem warrant

coupe - 140 -180
sedan - 200 -240

should it ever be much more than those prices (^) your being ripped off.

in nova scotia you can have your back windows as dark as you want as long as the front ones arent tinted. i got all my windows tinted for 180 with a life time warr. and they are 35% front and 8% rear. i had it done bout a couple months now and drove past tons of cops and they even stopped beside me with my windows up and nothing ever happened. the way i see it for around here if you dont give cops a reason to pull you over or "watch" for your car they wont do anything. and for the safety thing if your from another province and it is legal to have your windows tinted there and you go to another province there is no way in hell you can get a ticket for tinted windows because if that was true then there would be a lot of junk cars off the roads from newfoundland or out west

I heard that the cops do care and it is a matter of time before u do it pulled over and asked to remove your tint, there are a few from this section that did get tickets for the front windows being done.out here in Edmonton they could give too flying shots as Long as u aren't on that is in the "book" for being known to cops with previous issues.
Good luck with the tint but just don't come on here later and say u got a ticket..lol
