Cobalt SS Virus

So I am cleaning my car like I do every couple of days and for some reason my wife comes out to discuss something.....cooking, cleaning or kids or something. She starts laughing so I slide out from under the rear end of my car which is on ramps and ask, why are you laughing. She told me and I did not understand the humor at all.

My question is this.......when you are cleaning your Cobalt what contintutes illness. I guess according to my wife it is polishing my stainless steel exhaust

What is your first sign?

I polish the tip but that's about it for the exhaust. I try to clean as much as I can, I wouldn't say much of anything visible is too far over the top.

I wipe my tip off when im washing, that's it. Putting it on ramps and lying under it to polish it is at the height of just-tomuchery.

lol unless its going to a car show parked under mirrors there is no reason to polish the underbody

But hey atleast we know if he sells it that it will be spotless top to bottum lol

My girlfriend thinks its wierd to spend 6-8 hours detailing it inside and out but i dont do that very often, when its sunny out i wash a couple times a week and wax once a month.

How about cleaning the air vents and around the lug nuts with q-tips?
As for the exhaust I use an SOS pad, and not just on the outside (this gets some wierd looks at the car wash)
A bottle brush to clean the inside part of my rims, and the fender wells.
I have a whole storage cabnet in my garage full of cleaning products
I wash the car every other day, clean or dirty, rain or shine, I don't care it still needs to be cleaned.
Oh yeah, and I usually like to do this in the middle of the night, I hate being rushed for the bay at the car wash.
Yeah I know I'm OCD but I refuse to get help for it.

well I was going to suggest a group car cleaning day, but it sounds like I'm the only one who has a dirty car.

I bet the worn through floor mats are sacriledge too.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I even have mine organized for interior detailing, exterior detailing, and general cleaning supplies. I find washing my car relaxing. Gives me a way to forget my problems and focus on having a great looking car. I need to get my car professionally buffed though, the guy who had my car before me did not take care of it, and the paint looks TERRIBLE. It has little white specs ground into it all over the sides and rear, and major swirl marks everywhere. Car looks like its 5 or 6 years old under a spotlight. During the day it's not that noticeable, but I still know that it's there and it bugs the hell out of me. None of it's scratched through the clear coat luckily.
