Why I chose Powell Stage 1 after I already bought OTTP Stage 1
#26
why must everyone bash ottp just because his mounts arent the best?
i've owned both ottp and powell mounts. i will have to say the powell one is better, but even after replacing my ottp's bushing it fit fine. i think the op's case is an isolated incident.
but seriously i've had no issues with josh or his service. ive gotten his stage 2 kit, tune, and h/e, as well as a few other little things and ive got nothing but good things to say about all of those products. he gives great deals and does deliver when it comes to service. good on calls and pms. so sure, his mount bushings still need some improvement but overall this should be no reason to bash a hardworking vendor

^ either way whatever happen to u has been fixed since then i have the ottp mount since last year and it fit like a glove and iv had no problem.
Ps i just noticed what ottp said about u trying to return a used mount because u had decided to go woth powell instead, if ur gonna be dishonest with people dont waste our time making false claims about a product, jp1600 even stated he got his just few mounts ago and fit prefect, so do mine.

Playing? No one is playing with you, you where asked to provide clear pics of the problem and from the pics posted I dont see anything wrong with it so I can see why josh cant see what the problem is. You also tried to push the mount off on josh because you changed your mind about what mount you wanted after you already installed his so you seem kinda dishonest.

I can now clearly see from the picture in this thread that you were sent the correct parts. As I'm sure others will confirm, that is a voided bushing and those are .5" thick spacers. I would suggest you stop lying.

If you had a good reputation and didn't screw so many people over, maybe one bad review wouldn't bother you so much and you could focus more on selling Chevy Cobalt parts out of your parents garage.

That's because you bought the one that was the same thing as the Powell mount two years ago. Only recently did Joshie change his "design" which caused the mount to not FIT.

YThe truth is that before you came to me you had already talked to powell and you wanted to return the used mount, because you wanted theirs instead. The proof is in the time stamps of when you posted on the forum. You even asked to change your order via pm but it had already shipped.
Copy and pasted from another thread where another member got ripped off by you :
"I told you I wanted to cancel the TD after reading reviews from you that there isn't a need to have both the ITD AND the LNF rear mount on top of your spacer. Go dig up that thread and post results. Thanks"
You never replied.
You're trying to make me sound dishonest, but the truth is in the results. Have a good day.

Why does your website now list replacement spacers for the mount kit?
Would it happen to do with the originals not fitting with the new bushing?
Hmm?
Failure.
You might be able to make new members look bad, but I've been on the internetz too long to be fooled. Keep trying!

"If you are upgrading from the voided bushing to the solid bushing you will need a thinner set of side spacers. These are sold seperately.""
so they probably added the spacers for the people that lost/ upgraded there bushings.

Also in the picture from a few posts up from your thread. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/part...mpener-290747/
You said you resized the spacers. Well the thick spacers are .5" thick and the thin spacers are .3" thick. The two holes in the trans mount that bolt it to the trans are .5" wide holes. They look the same to me....

You should go back and re-measure the right parts because they were off by a half of an inch. It sounds small but it makes a huge difference when you're trying to install something that has close tolerances to begin with, such as a transmission-frame mount.
Just trying to help and save others the wasted time.

Seeing as my name is used in this thread, and OTTP did not invent or develop these mounts , I did, I will say this.
The ears on the typical Delta cradle for the front engine mount are 66.5 mm apart. The cheap really sad ex Vdub insert that OTT uses is roughly 40.8 mm wide at the center of the insert. The more expensive better made GM insert that I used initially and are still good in Blazin07SS'car in Florida, and in cars running around here, are 51.1 mm wide.
The outer diameter of the bushings is roughly the same, the cheap really sad ones are a white metal sleeve that is not truly round, and varies in diameter as the sleeve is such poor material. The GM one is steel material and is truly round and overall better made.
so you do the math, its easy to see what happened to the OP and its easy to see how he could get upset about the parts not working for him as the spacers were not correct.
I do say " thanks" to all our customers for considering or choosing genuine Powell hardcore race parts.
