2005 G85 Ion Redline 93k - Rust Free

2005 with the Performance Package (118 made in 2005 according to Wikipedia)

just under 93K miles at time of posting (Daily driven, so will continue to rise)

$6500

The car is located in MILWAUKEE, WI - I am willing to drive to meet you somewhere, but not for joyrides.

I have decided to sell my ION. I bought it with the intention of an autocross/track car... I have decided that it was not the hobby for me. Since I simply drive the car everyday, I would like to get something else (bigger and more plush ) and let someone enjoy this car.

I bought the car and had it shipped up from Texas last March. The car spent its entire life other than the past 1.5 years in TX, and damn does it show! The undercarriage is VERY clean, there is NO ROT/RUST and there are NO LEAKS, you seriously could eat off the bottom of this car...

Mechanically The car is 9.99/10... everything works, zero leaks, starts first crank, motor has no oil top or bottom and burns no oil.

The interior I would say is an 9/10. No holes, tears or rips anywhere.

The exterior is an 8/10... There is NO RUST anywhere... Like no, you can't find it. Its first winter was last winter and it was washed weekly, and more frequent when the salt was busted out. See below for issues.

The car has:
Performance package (see below about wheels)
GM Stage 2 Kit with GM stage 2 tune
Short Throw Shifter
Eibach Street springs
FTP Stainless steel brake lines
Hawk HPS brake pads when I did the Lines (First mod I've done to every car I've owned... These pads ROCK)
Powell Stg 1 motor mount
KN Intake with KN Air Filter with water sock
BADMAB header hooked to a ZZP 3" downpipe and WB O2 sensor - ready to tune.
Single gauge interceptor (have dual pod for WB and interceptor) (have the stock one as well)
GMPP exhaust
Retrofitted HID Headlights with angel eye HALOs
Aftermarket DVD Receiver (Pioneer AVH-P3400BH) (have the stock one as well) with 10" Kicker Subwoofer
35% tint all around
Armrest center console (have the stock one as well)
Various spare parts/fluids for the car

Since i bought the car, all I've had to do were oil changes ~5k miles, always before the alert on the dash. I replaced the Master Cyl since the plastic ball broke, but the car was always drivable without (just a VERY low pedal engagement ).

Problems: The wheels are rough. One was very badly curbed. There are no drivablitiy issues, but you may wish to replace it. IMO the pictures make it look worse. All of the wheels are typical chrome Ion wheels, they hold brake dust and the chrome could use a polish/cleaning. There is a gash on the front fender as seen in the picture, this is from an animal running in front of the car at about 15-20 mph. The car was in a minor accident in TX. I looked it up on carfax and i found the police record before I bought the car. The ION rear-ended a Mustang at a stoplight at <10mph (I think he let the clutch out in gear). There is minor evidence of the front fender being replaced (it is red on the backside) but you'd have no idea unless you lay down under the car, or start moving things around under the hood.

^^ The reason this was the longest section, is that I believe in 100% honesty when selling a car. Its a big purchase and very poor morally to knowingly lie to someone for a few dollars. I expect the same in return when I purchase a car. I do not mean to make the car sound bad, it is a very good example of the Redline, but I'm not going to say its a Showcar when it's not.
