For Sale 50k Cobalt SS/SC!!!
As much as I love the Cobalt, it doesn't mean that they're suddenly worth 3x their normal value. No matter HOW MUCH time, energy, love, dedication, specialization etc... are put into it.
If I put 50 grand into a Yugo it wouldn't make it worth 50 grand. It's still a Yugo, albeit a pretty one probably. The thing about custimization is it's usually done in a direction that is seen as attractive to the person doing the customization. Sure there are others who see the same attraction but the chances of them wanting to dump that amount into a car w/nearly 40k miles on it aren't that high.
The car I'm talking about isn't in this thread. It is a beautiful and pristine version of the Cobalt. I don't mean any disrespect to him or the Cobalt by my comments.
The guy who started this thread was taking a lighthearted approach at poking a litle fun at it/him. Lighten up guys...chill out. No need to bash him for poking a little fun.

While the joke may be in bad taste, im not sure what happened in the other thread. With that said, 30K is ridiculous for any cobalt, no matter how much time/energy/tears went in. But of course, at the end of the day, its his car and he can attempt to sell it for whatever he wants.
Wills balt is probably worth 30k, but not many ppl see that it may be worth that much. If you appreciate hard work and custom parts you would be able to see that. Furthermore, unfortunately nobody is probably going to buy lsf1body's car, because frankly buying a new reliable car and having the fun to mod it yourself is best.
Sorry to ls1fbody but stock cars command higher prices than modded ones, especially when the mods are done by an individual and not a shop. I'm not saying I doubt his work, but others most certainly will.

No, LS1's car is Def not worth more that 15k. There really isn't much done to it. I don't understand what he is thinking.
If I added up what every mod cost on my car I doubt I could even get what they are worth alone by selling the whole car.

you are a tool for thinking a car is worth more then it's original sticker price. unless it comes with a free blow job and a case of beer wont, ever be worth any more then the cost of the beer.
IMHO Will's car is not worth 30k. I'd pay 16...max. MOST of what he's claiming as added value is time. The mods only slightly add to the value. The labor behind the mods definitely DOES NOT add any value whatsoever.
Blood, sweat and tears account for nothing...I respect them to no end but would never pay for them.
To me it's like taking a $800 exhaust and having a shop install it for $200 and then claiming that it's a $1000 exhaust.
