A good project car for someone who does body work. Mechanically sound. Price: $2000 cash. Please don't offer me less; I'm losing an absolute fortune on this car already, but I just need to get rid of it. Located in Webster, TX, which is on the SE side of Houston. Pictures here:

You help your son buy a car, he doesn't pay the bills, you let him slide, then he wrecks it, you fix it, he wrecks it again, you fix it again, and just when you think he's grown some brain cells he takes a fast drive on the gravel and introduces the fender to a few trees.
Oh, and I'm an idiot.

Yes, the last time it was fixed was with insurance, and they did a great job, then he had a fender-bender, but of course it wasn't his fault, then this thing with the trees - he's a slow learner. So am I, apparently. He doesn't drive any more, nor will he ever, ever touch one of my cars. I can't even remember the last wreck I had - must have been at least 10 years ago, and I drive a Z28. 'Course, at his age, I had one big bad wreck, but I learned from it, and hardly had anything on my record except a couple of speeding tickets for years. The heck of it is, my wife's car, which I still have to pay for another 2 years or so, isn't even as nice as this one was. Some kids don't know what they got, until it's gone, and even then it takes a while for reality to set in...
Thats a good deal for that.
That story isn't as bad as what happened to my old Co-worker's son, he got in an accident 3 times within a week. The first time was with his car and he rear ended someone and then the next day he took his moms car out and went into a ditch, They ended up taking his license away. He still drove though since he was 16 and was only allowed to drive to school/Home. Then he took his dads car To school supposedly but he wasn't going to school and then he hit a tree. After all that he is not able to get his license back until he's 25.LOL

How old is your son?
That looks like quite a bit of $$$ in damage. Did you get an estimate?
Below is $12,500 in damage. The dealership's body shop pretty much replaced the whole side of the car and fixed the unibody. I have a three page estimate. Single spaced. It's a really long story but the insurence company fixed it. It took them 2 FULL months. But they did a WONDERFUL job. It's just like new. Drive's like new too
If you have questions I'll answer them to the best of my ability.

Really, an '88 t-bird? His first car was a '94 Nissan with over 200,000 miles on it. He's 21 now, but at the time he was 18, and in the first week he managed to run into the garage door, he waved at me on the road once & accidentally came into my lane, running me off the road, then at the mall his cell phone rang and when he looked up, the air bag popped out as he rear-ended a parked car. A few weeks later, he totalled the car and cost the insurance company over $12,000 in medical claims. I thought he had learned his lesson and would appreciate a new car. I was wrong.
As far as the repair work goes, maybe I could drive it to get an estimate. I'm kind of ticked off right now; I got a parking ticket for having the car in front of the house for more than 24 hours. I just want to see the darn thing gone, that's why the price is so low. You can't hardly find anything with 4 wheels and an engine for this price, at least not here in Houston. If it doesn't sell quickly I'm gonig to call one of those car-donation places and have them just take it away.

Agreed,
I know I learned my lesson with my first car. I had a 89 Cavalier with 19,000 original miles back in '04. I had fixed it up real nice and even painted it Sonic blue Metallic and I was leaving school to go to work and I was putting my cell in my center console and the next thing I knew I went into a ditch and jumped a drive way and hit a Telephone pole and the front end of my car was 4 feet off the ground.LOL This car had 24,320 miles on it exactly when I hit the pole.
