Sport Drag Cobalt 4 sale ... my lose your gain
I asked for information on page 2, with no response. I sent a PM 3 days ago, with no response.
FWIW, GM never tried to support the Cobalt community. They thought the supercharged Cobalt would compete with the SRT4.
Then they went out running 1800lb tube chassis cars covered by a carbon fiber shell, running highly modified methanol burning turbocharged motors with automatic transmissions, all the while trying hard to convince the general public that is is the same things you can buy at your Chevy dealer. They finally wised up a little and put the LNF in the cobalt, but it took over a year before they even had a stage 1 package available.

I've always been interested in upgrading my 4T45E transmission. My question to you is if that transmission will work properly on the LE5. I'd also have to take your axles wouldn't I?

I did not get back to this 1 message of course but it was just over 2 days ago not 3, and it was at 5.44 which I had already left for my kids baseball tourny for the weekend. With limited laptop time I wasted so much dealing with cry babies about me being such a pc of **** i missed your message. Unfortunately we have received so many about no car sales I have had to try and reply to car sales fits that was purpose of the post. Everything from if we have door panels to extra gas pedals and how we wired it - that is while you may think quick to answer it really is not.
The 4t65 will need an adaptor plate to bolt to the block, also needs to have the motor laid over about 20 degrees and 930 axles. The axles will then require you to run a larger knuckle/spindle to allow the large spline say a grand am.
As for the GM not trying to push the Cobalt - we just have to agree to disagree on that. They sent alot of time and money to put over build books etc it just didnt work but they tried.

On June 3rd, I PM'd-
I was wondering what race parts you have available for sale. We might be interested in picking up a few things if you have spare parts for sale.
thanks,
Matt
Edit- I see that you responded to my PM. Thanks.
Yes, GM tried to push a radical race program. They missed the fact that people want to modify their street cars. People building FWD drag cars like yours or mine are few and far between.

I'd pick this up in a heartbeat, but I can't get the bank to approve a 20K dollar loan for a used cobalt. In fact, the banker on base laughed at me today. I was kind of pissed when I left.
alright everyone stop arguing about stupid things, there is no point to argue over the internet lol bcuz everyone is just going to think there right and go on forever so if u wanna continue then meet up somewhere in the real world and exchange words and maybe fight (vids of fight)
lets move this to another subject. if this genesis vs cobalt thing goes down with the forum wars, we HAVE to use this vehicle for the drag race! discuss that

well, i can qualify for $30k for an auto loan but as i guessed the bank wants to loan out only $12k for this car hahah. what a joke. and i mentioned to them about an Absolute Value Appraiser and they said they don't even look at those. they go off of the NADA value of the stock equipped vehicle.
but she did refer me to a local company that specializes in loans for race cars seeing as we're only 30 from one of the best Central US drag strips. so i'll be giving them a call tomorrow when they're open. since they will recognize the car for whats been done to it and its actual worth. instead of a yearly depreciated "stock" cobalt.
and since i can qualify for $30k......
well if i'm gonna drop 40k for this, i guess it'll be a $5 pair of walking shoes for a while...
