actually it's about an hour away from me. i have alot nicer dragstrip that's
only about 10 mins from me. this strip (the one that's farther away) is the only one
i know of that has a 100MPH club. you get a decal and your name on their website.
idk kinda neat i think. something different.

i wanted to try something very different at the track last night. my cobalt is truly
a daily driver. i drive about 18 miles to work each way. (not alot i know). and then i put
more daily miles on it running errands etc.. as stated earlier, i wanted to qualify for
the 100 MPH club. my car normally traps 109-110 so i knew i would qualify. what i wanted
to do was run the car at the track EXACTLY the same way that i drive it to work everyday.
this means 3/4 tank of gas, trunk full of crap (spare and jack in etc.), baby car seat in,
car not cleaned out in any way, no chains up front, and no footballs in the rear. i didn't
even lower the tire pressure at all. absolutely no track prep whatsoever! best run of
the evening was a 13.54 @ 108. honestly i am kinda happy with this. i think that it is
cool that i drive a 13.50's car everyday, and with a little track prep and some really good
weather my car will run 12.90's.
